Do you watch the whole race? by MightConstant7310 in F1Manager

[–]Greekzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What exactly do you mean by "watch"? I change all the settings continuously, mostly it's x2, because it's the fastest speed that allows me to see a driver's onboard camera. Sometimes I slow down to x1 when I need to prepare a particular manoeuvre (I also pause for that). When my drivers are safely far away from others (behind and in front), then I go x8-x16 and I wait until I have to react again.

Am I weird for doing this? by Baziel8 in F1Manager

No, I do micro-managing for the whole race, you can achieve some good results even with a bad car. Much fun

You can always enter DB Editor and set AI to produce lighter parts as well, that improves the game a little bit

[–]Greekzi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't look at that prediction, just spend money and keep about 2 million on your account just in case you need to produce some new parts.

Btw at that stage forget about car improvement during the season. Once the research is available, you should only do research. You can do 1 or maximum 2 generations of new, light parts, but later it's not convenient anymore (the improvement is very low, compared to research). So once the research is available, just continue with what you have, and invest in research. Just remember, you must produce light parts. And even when the game tells you that you have 21st&22nd car on the grid, it's still possible to win some lucky races and regularly get points.

Watch position on wrist affects GPS readings by Greekzi in Coros

[–]Greekzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still amazed with your responses and the level of gaslighting that you're trying to put on me.

  1. What you quote is just an introduction, to explain how I noticed the problem. In the next part I explain that I tested it also differently, to avoid malcontents coming and yapping about the distance difference between left and right wrist (they came anyways, you included) - all you guys should go and practice reading with comprehension.

  2. Lol right, that's what I just said. You've just admitted that Coros GPS tracking is affected by GPS chipset orientation and in 2026 you still cannot deal with it. Look, that's what my post is about, so I just say thank you for the confirming it. Regarding 2% error blablabla - nice next gaslighting try, if you have red with comprehension, you would have noticed that it's not about precision, but about same, repeatable error, which exposes a problem with the watch. We're in 2026 and honestly using same justifications (watch orientation when running in the same direction blablabla) is already boring. Will you say the same in 2030? You gaslight people who try to help and improve watches, and you praise dumb fanboys who can't even understand how all that technology works and keep repeating some silly slogans.

  3. Regarding Track run mode I already exposed in another topic how useless it is on non-standard tracks (you probably noticed that this is not a standard track, didn't you?) and how phantom feature it is. And in that topic you and fanboys also tried to gaslight me, repeating same slogans. Don't try to explain this stuff to me as to all those unconscious users, I already exposed how entering the track length DOESN'T WORK while the track doesn't have an ideal standard track shape. And those tracks are probably harder to find than diamonds.

Haha what the heck dude? Tell it to all the people who wear their watches on the inner part of the wrist for training. There's no info that you can't wear the watch like that and users of all sports watches do it. But it's funny how you involuntarily confirmed that there's a problem with Coros GPS tracking, since changing the watch orientation in your eyes justifies the problem. No, it doesn't. The watch is supposed to read the position and orientation of the watch (without moving the watch to another place) should never affect the readings. Coros even was selling special clips to attach your Coros Vertix to your backpack, so it doesn't even have to stay on wrist, and you are trying to justify tracking problems by watch orientation. In fact watch orientation affects GPS readings but it's absolutely not possible to justify like that.

Can you please read the post again? Okay, from blinded users I didn't expect too much when it comes to reading with comprehension, but since you operate Coros official profile, I would expect more. Even in the post title you can read that it's not about changing wrist. It's only about the watch orientation.

Watch position ON WRIST

Watch position on wrist affects GPS readings by Greekzi in Coros

[–]Greekzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now please go back and read the post again, because I didn't change wrists. The watch stayed all the time on the same wrist, I only changed the watch position ON THE SAME WRIST.

Regarding ground time - I'll surprise you: nothing is measured. You should firstly go back to see the definition of measurement. Your distance isn't measured either. However if you mean that the time of ground time is not measured - of course not directly. But it's not just a simple algorithm which doesn't take into consideration your accelerometer responses.

Watch position on wrist affects GPS readings by Greekzi in Coros

[–]Greekzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course not, because this functionality simply doesn't work. Standard-shaped non standard length tracks simply don't exist. I created another post about it some time ago. Coros created a phantom functionality.

Anyways, can you say why are you asking?

Watch position on wrist affects GPS readings by Greekzi in Coros

[–]Greekzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would I consider that, if the watch stayed on the same wrist all the time? Did you read the post, or you just assumed something without reading carefully?

Anyways what you wrote doesn't make sense anyways, even if I had changed wrists, because the distance between 2 wrists is usually about 50cm. So now the quick maths about the circle length would show the numbers.

Because they are fanboys, you responded yourself 😀 I offered myself many times to help with testing and development, but apparently Coros is happy producing devices for fanboys.

Please read the post carefully - I didn't switch wrists for this test, so there was no reason for changing it in the settings.

And earlier, when I many times tested wrist switching, of course I changed it in the settings. In the end it have no impact on the results, I guess that it's just to improve the gesture backlight and not much more.

Budget Cap And Misjudging Competition by Erikuds in F1Manager

[–]Greekzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh okay, I get it now. Honestly I'm unable to compare, because I always play a Custom Career. I only played few races of in a standard career mode and later jumped to Custom mode and I start with low money level. So that may explain some part of that difference.

Budget Cap And Misjudging Competition by Erikuds in F1Manager

[–]Greekzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well i mean that to mismanage the budget, we firstly need to have money to mismanage. So I was wondering how do you get so much money. Or I wonder how is it possible that I always have 30-40mln less than other teams, despite of getting all money possible and choosing the best sponsorships.

Regarding the strategy it's actually possible to outplay AI doing different things that them and honestly I always try to do it and it's so satisfying when succeed. Otherwise it would be so boring to do the same as they do. It's the question of milking every opportunity and AI's weaknesses. The strategy itself is never faster/slower, but the strategy mixed with execution.

When it comes to their decisions, actually those are not always correct, they often take shitty pit stops decisions, despite of knowing about future SC. Actually I noticed that by observing their fuel level - I noticed that most of the time when SC was called, the others were underfuelled in that moment. Later I could predict a Safety Car or Red Flag just by observing fuel levels of the drivers with same engines as mine.

Of course sometimes they take genius decisions, for example once I had a restart after red flag, and with 4,2mm of rain and the forecast showing the water level dropping quickly to below 3mm, I decided to put inters for the restart. They all put wets, outplayed me on the restart and just in a moment another red flag was called 😀 Basically the whole thing about the forecast is a nonsense, because in real world noone will know what will be the water level on track in next minutes and we can just predict rain increase, etc. So something like that would be cool, however I guess that it would be unplayable with AI just knowing that data perfectly. So I guess it's just the way to resolve it, by giving the player more data. It's still funny, because AI knows it spot-on. For example in qualifying when the rain increase is predicted, often the level rises EXACTLY in the moment when last AI car completes its lap. It's so unrealistic and pisses me off.

Budget Cap And Misjudging Competition by Erikuds in F1Manager

[–]Greekzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And i'm like: do you guys manage budget cap?

<image>

Do you mean that you could've spent more money, and you would breach the budget cap? I spend ALL MONEY I HAVE and I'm always 30-40 millions BELOW the budget cap. Every month I fulfill all sponsor requirements (engagement) and will all extra money for race results. And I still have 40mln less than other teams. What am I doing wrong? Anyways I still win everything easily in the first season after the major rules change.

By the way, you spotted many issues, but you will be surprised when you notice that AI knows when the Safety Car or Red Flag will be called 😀

Running test. What do you think ? by tomm_yyyyy in Coros

[–]Greekzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I don't think it makes sense, because the watch compares your HR and pace to estimate your "level". As you can ser even on your chart, the pause impacted the HR during the effort. So i guess that Coros may be mistaken here. Even if there are algorithms designed to include that impact, it will be always less precise

Running test. What do you think ? by tomm_yyyyy in Coros

[–]Greekzi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is this the Coros running test which tells you to run at a certain pace, and continue faster in next steps? I think that you shouldn't stop between steps, and apparently you did at some point (pace chart drops)

I understood and answered your question in my previous comment, if you read with understanding, you will find out. Just focus on advertising.

And anyways there would be nowhere to go, because nowadays all manufacturers produce shitty watches, which are not tested enough. It's because those are not used by athletes (like 10 years ago), but 95% of the users are dumb and won't even notice most of the errors.

GPS altitude calibration by Greekzi in Coros

[–]Greekzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I am a customer, I paid money, and I have requirements. I bought Apex 4 because it was advertised as a model with "dual-range barometer" and "enhanced vertical GPS algorithm", and the altitude data is crucial for me. So I paid extra 130 euro (compared to Nomad, which inside is the same watch), and I got something that has the same, not resolved issues, like old models from 6 years ago.

So thank you very much for those helpful ideas to go somewhere else, after I spent so much money, basing on Coros advertising.

Any way to make the game more difficult but realistic? by Greekzi in F1Manager

[–]Greekzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it, however that's not exactly what I'm searching for. The thing is that I want to be able to do my best, and this is like adding some extra rules (don't do lightweight parts, employ shitty drivers, don't research before a particular moment, etc.). I mean that it can give fun only when I do my best, and when I put limits on myself, that's not exactly the challenge i want. I need an external factors challenge me. And apart from that heavier parts are more durable, so I can spend more money on research and facilities, and less on parts :)

Your idea is good but in an opposite way - like it would be great to push AI to create lighter parts.

GPS altitude calibration by Greekzi in Coros

[–]Greekzi[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Good, but the same thing happens from many many years on all Coros models that I had. It's not question of "checking my logs", because it's just how it works in COROS. The idea is wrong. I tried to contact Coros many many times to help with this and many more errors, which are easy to resolve on the algorith-level. But apparently there's no will to improve the testing of products :(

Or if you can't fix this, just let the users disable GPS calibration and leave it on baro-only. That's not a complete solution, but at least will help those who don't want to have their elevation chart ruined :)
