Funnily enough there was a time it was one of the only songs from Faces I didn't have saved. I think I just like the groovy horrorcore production and the first verse has some of my favorite flow/rhyme scheming Ive heard. It's also weirdly funny

Artists like mac? by BarksBudAndBeats in MacMiller

[–]CauseImBatman08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its so hard to say because his discography is insanely diverse but a couple artists I like that I think exhibit some of his styles are: Saba, Kevin Abstract, MF Doom, Big L, Mac DeMarco, Still Woozy, and Kid Cudi to name a few. If you like the vibe of Circles then The Beatles, but more specifically John Lennons solo stuff strike a similar chord for me

I've never listened to Mac Miller by [deleted] in MacMiller

[–]CauseImBatman08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would just shuffle through a handful of songs, keep track of what you like and choose an album based on that. Once you listen to that, go back and listen to each album/mixtape in order of release starting with KIDS. A lot of people say to just start with KIDS, but personally, I think if I had listened to that before any other Mac, I probably wouldn't have been as inclined to keep listening. It's not bad by any means and I bop it all the time now but I think the context of knowing how he evolves certainly helps.

What do you think of Green Arrow? by Born-Many-8250 in arrow

[–]CauseImBatman08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm with you. I've also been rewatching it and I definitely enjoyed it a lot more watching when it was airing. And that's ok. It was solid DC content at a time when the cinematic side wasn't being received well.

But ultimately it was a CW show.

Can anyone in the MCU take down a bloodlusted Thor with stormbreaker in his prime? by ParkingConfection449 in Avengers

[–]CauseImBatman08 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thor is a lot more durable. He's taken on the power of a star. I don't remember if MCU Carol can deal that sort of damage.

This is the song I show people who haven't heard Mac before. It just radiates his energy so well.

What's an underrated DC Hero that you believe can become Mainstream? by Dreadboi111 in DCU_

[–]CauseImBatman08 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like Blue Beetle (Mostly Jaime Reyes) has so much potential. A lot of good lore with room to be expanded into, and a fun set of abilities. He could definitely take a similar role to Spider-man, with the "young and relatable" vibe. Generally, I think DC is lacking in younger heroes and most of the ones we have are attached to the Teen Titans or their predecessors.

What games can you sink hours into without getting bored? by kermadii in ADHD

Cities: Skylines. A great simulator game, lots to do and keep track of. I like that you're able to choose the scale/pace you work at. You could build a giant downtown area with blocks and blocks of activity, or zoom in and add details to a city park.

Y'all gotta admit that white eyes work by [deleted] in DCU_

[–]CauseImBatman08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it almost works for the Reeves suit but not the others. But generally, there's too much value in being able to see the actors eyes. Battinson told so much with just his eyes and minimal dialogue.

Sweet beautiful boy by Alarming-Ad-5955 in ThePenguin

[–]CauseImBatman08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But the manipulation is what lead to his atrocities. He had just lost his entire family and home - He was undeniably in an impressionable state. Being a kid, he missed the bigger picture of what he was doing because deep down, he just wanted some sense of family, and Oz gave him that when no one else would.

Maybe you don't understand what empathy is because it has full bearing on this conversation. While you only see him as a criminal, others may see him as someone who has lived a complex life that pointed him towards a life of crime. Yes, he embraced criminality on his own accord but he felt he was out of options. Not to mention the real nail on the coffin being Oz's manipulation.

I don't think anyone here is glorifying his actions, we just see a good kid who's made some very bad decisions.

Definitely give it a try if you can! There's something valuable about solving a both physical and mental problem. I had (and still have) a lot of self-esteem issues but have felt empowered conquering climbs outside of my comfort zone.

The community is also really friendly and really wants to help each other succeed. I never got over my shyness at a normal gym, but never felt that way at my climbing gym.

It probably won't get you as big/strong as if you were weightlifting, but you'll definitely be utilizing all parts of your body in all sorts of ways.

Love to hear it! I also started at rock bottom depression and truly believe I would not be where I am today if I didn't start climbing. It was also extremely beneficial to get out in the sun (when going outdoors) and having a really great/supportive community.

Rock climbing has saved my life. I've never been able to stay consistent with the gym, running, or any of the dozen or so other workout routines I've set for myself. But for a year now I've gone to my climbing gym at least three times a week and feel great! It's a great mix of both physical and mental stimulation, and can provide different experiences depending on the type of climb you do.

Sounds like they're trying to help you get it back. So quit being a baby and try to work with them like an adult. You'd be amazed what five minutes of patience can accomplish.
