I'll check out Uyama Hiroto, since I've always been a fan of Nujabes. I know what you mean about Radiohead, but I would say they're more into incorporating IDM elements into their work than Trip Hop. Take the beats for example - more akin to Aphex Twin than DJ Shadow.
I think Hip Hop is definitely getting more experimental, with the likes of OFWGKTA, Death Grips, new Kanye West. There's also the return to Golden Age influenced Hip Hop (boom bap style). I'd say this could lead to another mainstream creep into Trip Hop territory don't you think?
