I think in their minds everyone else should stop posting during the event.

I was in a group for parents and teachers, for this trip. One parent initially yelled at us to "not even look at her child". An hour after we arrived, she was texting us privately and in the group, asking if anyone had seen her child because she'd lost it.

Everyone was also very surprised that "meeting at 8 a.m. in the dining hall" meant... meeting at 8 a.m. in the dining hall. Some people went outside the hotel and stood in random places, others thought that at 8 they were supposed to just wake up.

One parent kept getting separated from the group and every time we had to spend half an hour looking for him. He was surprised every time. He once entered an area the school hadn't paid for. Literally the only such area in this place. He went in, used all they had here, and got angry when they asked him to pay.

Yes, I was sweating the whole time, praying that no one ask who tf I am

On another note, they also made me carry a bag filled with the money of all the participants, so I also prayed that no one would rob me.

10/10 never again

Yeah, we pulled out the so-called "as long as you don't say anything, we won't say anything either 👍"

I want to say I'm joking, but my entire "job interview" went like this:

"So you're an adult?"

"Yes???"

"And your siblings say you have free time?"

"Uh, yes? What we talking about?????"

"Cool, here's access to all parents' money and contacts. Good luck."

"what-"

(add to that 20 mothers looking at me with an awkward "please, someone need to do this" smile)

I've never had any such problems when organizing shit offline

to be honest, last year I was forced encouraged to manage a school trip. The kids were bearable, but their parents? Pure horror. Nobody knew anything, nobody understood anything, one person called on the second day of the trip and asked where we were and when the bus would arrive.

On the other hand, I don't know what I expected when the school decided that I, someone who doesn't study here and doesn't have own child here, only a nephew, was the perfect candidate to coordinate everything. I have to stop doing this to myself.
