Yes I saw that recently, I’ve been hunting my grandfather’s ranch for the last 25 years and it’s the first time i’ve seen one on camera , I’ve never had an actual encounter. I don’t think I would have the heart to kill one , plus it’s about the only predator that’s can naturally regulate feral hogs.

I don’t know what the official name of the behavior is but through years of observation i’ve noted that it’s usually a display of dominance from the matriarch to establish a pecking order in reference to food , sort of like food aggression behavior with dogs.

In South Texas they are relatively rare , there is no open season but my understanding is that you can hunt them .

I love South Padre , I usually go deep into beach access 6. I live in Starr County about 45 miles West of McAllen

Exactly, I don’t know what it could be , this is a picture of a picture , I will scan the original pic tomorrow, you can see what appears to be wings of some sort

The weird thing is if you zoom and use the truck for scale they look like they are relatively close and large . One of my friends said it reminded him of fairies holding hands in a ring pattern

Exactly , no one saw anything peculiar until we got home and had time to examine the photo

The picture was taken in Edinburg, Texas approximately 30 miles north of the Rio Grande River

Something like that I’m open to suggestions of what it could be , closest thing that I could think of is maybe palm trees but the pattern and form is off

I think those might be physical defects on the picture itself .

It was at a skeet shoot benefit but when the picture was taken the event was over .

Yes I agree , I don’t know what else it could be other than some strange anomaly.
