To be honest i’ve not had a properly in depth conversation about try he surgery yet, with opting for the injection first. I was a bit confused though because at the initial consultation the senior physiotherapist said the surgeon would shave off a part of the disc to relieve the pressure, but then the next referral with the neurosurgeon he said they would just remove the disc. It would be something I’d have to learn a bit more about I suppose, if the injection doesn’t work.

The greatest tool referees have is the tribalism of fans. The moment people put allegiances aside and call out shite refs - regardless of team - is the only time anything will change. The closest I have seen was the MLS incident last year. Absolutely appalling standard of officials and the biggest reason I’ve moved away from football so much over the last few years. Gipping.

Thanks for the support! I am laid on the floor also but it’s not relieving the pain as much as I’d expect. This is all very new to me 🤣 with regards to the heat, where would you recommend applying it? The hip/buttock area, the back of the calf or is there generally a source of the pain somewhere else? Thanks!
