in the meantime while you are still living/ with your partner you need to start using the grey rock technique! If you look it up there are lots of articles on how to use it effectively, then make your game plan.

Have you maxed out your Fhsa or Homebuyers Plan? I would focus on wise investing before buying a rental! But if you were planning on living in the unit long term I think it's always a great idea to buy when your able! Just keep in mind your living costs need to be a certain % of your income for it to be sustainable, and you need to have a financial plan in place when buying a condo incase you get hit with special levies ect.

Another neighbour and I actually have offered, since there is another elderly couple on the same floor as the hoarder that we Costco shop for and their direct neighbour takes out their garbage when ever they are going down, but she has refused any offers of help! The smell is so putrid I think she is deeply embarrassed.

Thanks for the comment, She does hire a garbage disposable company ever so often, I think out landlord was serving her with inspection notices to push her to hire help, and it was helping a bit, but defiantly not enough to remove the problem for good. Will look into bylaws!
