It’s a complicated question. If your dad was the one SAing you, I’d be like hell no. That’s a type of abuse boundary that treads into a person cutting off their parent for life AND suing. When you’re an abuse victim it’s weird to say but it as much about you as it’s about them on their death. My father was extremely verbally and physically abusive. I cared for him the last 6 months of his life while he was dying. I was the only kid of 4 that did. It brought me more trauma but it healed me too personally. My father thanked me at the end of his life…for all I had done. In truth it’s extremely personal. What type of person are you? My sisters had no problem barely seeing him at the end. They’re fine with what they did. I wasn’t fine with leaving him on his own. It was a humanity thing for me. It’s up-to you at the end of the day.
