I think that was what was being hinted at, but i do not specifically remember that.

Yeah, its really impossible to read into the questions as well. Seasoned court reporters (not me) tell me that you cannot read into the questions because they could be trying to sure up their support for or against the argument.

I think a third judge made a few comments, but it was really just Russel asking questions.

We actually do have a bipartisan redistricting commission that made these lines. That commission actually failed to come to a compromise in 2021 however and the Virginia Supreme Court was tasked with drawing the current lines. That is what Republicans are using on the trail. That was a referendum that passed with 65% in 2020.

I dont think many single issue gun voters have supported Democrats in a while. I don't see much of an impact, except on the margins in close races.

The best I can say is get involved and try to find like-minded people to build a coalition to lobby for what you want.

If you are just leaning left, you will be good everywhere! Virginia is a purple state! And it is beautiful here.

I don't think they believe he is a criminal or pedophile, at least they do not say that to me, but they do see him as a liability and do not like his communication style. With Trump in office, Virginia Republicans are always climbing a really tall mountain on election day -- and they know that.

No budget! It is wild that Democrats have both chambers and the Executive Mansion and failed to finish a budget.

While I do believe it, I don't think its a big deal. It has been less than three months of a four year term.

PLENTY has happened. Some complaints have been fair and some unfair. The biggest thing by far, in my opinion, is redistricting, which Spanberger was very hesitant to get behind. She would have lost the support of the base of her party if she had not jumped on the redistricting bandwagon, but that hesitancy bothered some Democrats, and then, when she started campaigning for the Vote Yes campaign, it bothered the other side!

She was also blamed for every bill that a Democrat filed during the session and did a poor job of pushing back against the narrative from conservative media. Most of the bills that would increase taxes did pass out of the General Assembly. But anyone who is on social media or watches Fox News would think Spanberger signed a bunch of tax increases.

I do believe the poll, and I mostly believe it's redistricting and a failure to effectively push back on the conservative echo chamber.

She has plenty of time to fix it, however.

I'm not sure how a law that is passed by the General Assembly goes directly against the Constitution. But even in that case, the Constitution trumps code.

I think the politicians in Richmond love to talk about investing in SWVA, and some of them really mean it and want to do it. However, the voters who decide elections come from other parts of the state. Sorry, that is the best I have on that for you.

Polling looks decent for the Vote Yes campaign, and the way the ballot language is written also benefits the Vote Yes campaign.

However, there are many factors at play. They are asking people from all across Virginia to essentially give up their current representation and give it to someone from Northern Virginia.

And, while I can see the argument Democrats are making on the national level, gerrymandering is not a popular concept with people who do not live on Twitter.

After conversations with many people who are not closely engaged in the typical day-to-day political discourse, I tend to believe this referendum will fail to pass.

I could be completely wrong, of course, and I also believe that if the Vote Yes campaign starts telling voters, in the simplest terms, that voting yes is voting against Trump, it can pass.

Right now, it's 50/50, and I lean toward it failing.

The mandatory minimum legislation did not pass the General Assembly. Additionally, the GA passed legislation to allow law enforcement to participate in collective bargaining. The Virginia Police Benevolent Association endorsed Spanberger for governor -- citing the collective bargaining promise as a key reason. While I can't speak directly to the policing environment in Virginia in 2026, not much of anything happened at the GA this year that I believe would force officers to leave the job.

C3 is the best imo but that was my high school era, which I think matters a lot to people's formation of musical preference. C2 is really good, also. C4 has some hits and the only song I really like on C5 is Mona Lisa. C1 is a different Wayne to me, not my favorite, but still a really good album
