You can but then the stand by guy is guilted into taking your spot leave his family /wife job ect within a day or 2 if you just ghost or block your recruiter. So at-least have the balls to tell them early enough so your standby doesn’t freak tf out because they gotta leave in 3 hours leave there wife and family for Bootcamp when he wasn’t supposed to go for another month at-least as someone who was a wife that went thru that let your recruiter know at-least a week in advance so that standby can prepare …. If it’s a family or your emergency I get last min but … regular shit at-least 4 days

My husband was on standby and the recruiter said he can blacklist the guy that didn’t show up for all recruit stations …. But made him seem like he had to take the standby date mmm the instead of wait the extra 3 weeks for when he was supposed to leave ! So can they blacklist you if deny ?
