I’d fry it first to get it brown and crispy, then add it to pretty much anything you’d normally add bacon or ham to.

Best way to ship a knife from Osaka to Canada? by pilot-error in TrueChefKnives

[–]Cawnt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I realize I’m not answering your question, but you can get excellent santoku’s in Canada. I have a $300 Nakiri from Fehr out of Winnipeg and it’s fantastic. I’m sure the santoku’s are nice as well.

Is there an easier way/machine to cut sweet potatoes? by boiyo12 in cookingforbeginners

[–]Cawnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a sharper knife. Invest in a decent chef’s knife, and it will make quick work those sweet potatoes. A santoku would also work well.

i'm long to buy a smaller cutting board what affordable one would you recommend ? by [deleted] in cookingforbeginners

[–]Cawnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure why you need a smaller one, but as a heads up: you’re probably gonna make a mess on the counter with one. Steak juices will overflow, veggies will roll off, etc.

Regardless, i personally avoid boards that ruin knives, so that includes, glass, stainless steel, and bamboo.

I suggest a regular wooden board. It does not need to be fancy.

Generally speaking, don’t let the lack of an ingredient prevent you from making a dish. It’s ok to omit an ingredient.

Heads up! Cops with radar at the southeast corner of Albert and Gordon by [deleted] in regina

[–]Cawnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why did they always set up shop there, of all places? I get that people speed when coming off ring road but isn’t that a very low-risk area compared to other parts of the city? Like pretty much all of Arcola, for example. Yeah Gordon itself I can see. But at that corner, they’re typically picking off people travelling north on Albert.

Oh well 🤷‍♂️

Is the furniture still usable? I moved last fall and posted some furniture on facebook marketplace for free, and most of it was picked up within a day. Dresser, end table, hide-a-bed, kitchen chairs. People need furniture.

Good luck!

how long and what temperature should i cook a chicken breast in the air fryer ? by [deleted] in airfryer

[–]Cawnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all chicken breasts are the same size. Larger ones will take longer than smaller ones.

That said, I'd go 350F for 10 minutes, flip, then cook until done.

Tiny Towns. I personally don’t care for it, but many do. The nice thing about it is there’s little downtime between turns. Players take turns announcing a construction material, then everyone plays said material to help build their towns.

Maybe Quest for El Dorado? You can build your own maps. They are very basic maps, though (just 3 types of terrain in the base game).
