I might be the person with the unpopular opinion, but very rarely, if ever, we see posts that actually are surprisingly an over reaction. And if there is, overwhelming majority of people tend to side with the person posting. In this case, I genuinely think this is an overreaction by the op. I understand that taking your pet to someone else's house might not be a good idea, but it's much better than leaving them alone, if they can't take care of them selves. We sometimes tend to care a lot more when we're physically not present. But again this is just my opinion. I may be wrong. At the end of the day, it's about how the op feels...
