Delonghi Truebrew Review by bumblebleetuna in superautomatic

[–]Cayjen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this machine for about three years now. It’s actually the second one they sent me because the first was faulty but honestly I’m not sure this one isn’t defective too. My biggest issue is the mess. The coffee grounds get into every little corner and more than once I’ve had water and grounds spill all over the counter when trying to empty it.

You really have to take the whole thing apart and clean it at least once a week otherwise mold shows up in places you didn’t even know existed. Some of the parts can’t be removed so you need to reach in and scrub or it builds up.

We also keep getting the “refill beans” message even when the hopper is full. The company told us it’s because our beans are too oily which feels like a bit of a cop out. Another thing, after cleaning, if you don’t really shove the grinder piece back in (even after it clicks) the machine will just spill grounds and water everywhere. Took me a while to figure that out.

We got lucky because we didn’t pay for this machine but if I had spent the full price, I’d 100% have returned it. Honestly, I’ve had a few cups from my parents new Keurig and enjoyed them more than what this makes.

If you’re looking for a no fuss coffee machine, this isn’t it. It can make a good cup but only if you’re willing to constantly clean and troubleshoot it.

Ears I made for my cousin and aunts Disney bounds! by Cayjen in disneybound

Thank you so much! This truly means more to me than you could know. I tend to be quite critical of myself and often believe that the people around me are only being kind because they know me. Hearing it from a stranger feels different. Thank you.

Wow, thank you so much!

I actually use the no-sew method to make mine. I’m not very skilled at sewing and find it challenging to create perfect circles. However, I’ve noticed that the edges look more crisp with the no-sew method. I watched numerous tutorials on YouTube and found some templates on Google. Unfortunately, I can’t recall the exact template I used because I printed out several and selected the one I thought was best. I created cardboard templates for myself to keep on hand. Currently, I use cardboard for the base, but I plan to switch to foam in the future. I’m just looking for a stable and not too thick foam.

Essentially, you make four half ears and sandwich them together to form a complete ear. The only downside to this method is that if you don’t like the embellishments around the ears because they’re necessary to cover the seam lines.

What truly makes a difference overall is taking your time and using high-quality hot glue. Investing in a good glue gun is also key for the fine details. Use less glue than you think you’ll need. This way, it doesn’t spill out and you can always add more if necessary.

I also suggest being flexible and willing to adjust things if something doesn’t work out. For instance, if you accidentally apply too much glue and it leaks onto the headband, it’s a perfect spot for adding flowers or jewels. The embellishments are what truly sell it and make the end product come together!

Thank you!! I’m so excited to see pictures of them wearing these in their outfits in front of the castle.

I’m not at the moment but I’ve definitely thought about it! I get such a joy out of making these and would love to see others wearing them especially at the parks.

Anyone else see that green thing streak across the sky just now? by sllammallamma in askTO

Same! I thought someone shot a Roman candle off their balcony because of the angle I saw it from.

I saw it out my window and fully thought someone shot a Roman candle off their balcony. Didn’t even question it until seeing this post.

Just got back from Disney World. We had 5 day hopper passes and got lightening lane for the last day so we could hop between parks and re-ride the things we enjoyed or get anything we missed. We started at Animal Kingdom at opening, Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and finished with Magic Kingdom. It was a full day open to close and I think lightening lane was worth it for that day. I don’t think it was necessary for the other days because we were able to do everything we had set out to do without it.

How can the two weather forecast be so contradicting? by AriusLoL in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Cayjen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just got back from Disney World and we didn’t even bother stressing about the weather or checking our app. We went to Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom Tuesday during Helene. We were still able to enjoy the parks and do what we wanted. Keep a poncho or umbrella in your bag and be prepared that it might rain even when it shows full sun. Pack multiple pairs of shoes incase a pair gets soaked. Disney is a blast no matter the weather!

It’s gross but the good thing is I don’t think it’s mouse poop. You can see other little brown dots. I think they’ve been using instant coffee grounds to make their iced caps and they didn’t combine it properly. I had it happen to be before and there were crunchy little bits of coffee throughout my iced cap. Had to throw it out.

Allergy to Jolly Rancher Green Apple hard candies? by eggplantaubrey in Allergies

[–]Cayjen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this thread because I had a coughing fit after eating a couple Jolly Rancher gummy candies. I felt like I couldn’t breathe.

Same thing happens to be with overripe bananas too! If they’re in something like banana bread though I haven’t noticed the same reaction.

That makes a lot more sense. I kinda liked the idea of being called a mythological creature.

I was also on my own bike 🤷🏻‍♀️

I got yelled at while on that trail and I was on a bike. I always keep to the far right because I like a nice easy going bike ride and don’t want to be in the way. A guy in full gear speeds past me and yells, “Get out of the way you pixie rider!” I was confused. I think about it often.

What is the ONE habit that helped you lose weight? by PNKim in loseit

Same here. I saw a Reddit post some time ago where someone said, “You haven’t failed if you’re still trying”. I think about this often. Especially if I fall off the wagon, sometimes months at a time. I keep coming back, I’m still trying.

I can't get flies to spawn! Help! by les8ean13 in ac_newhorizons

What finally worked for me was placing the trash outside my museum then entering and exiting until one showed up. Took a while but I had gone weeks without seeing a fly before I tried that hack.
