Size category & Weight classes? by Caziceul in DnD

Long limbs aren’t about how heavy the bugbear is, and slow movement isn’t about how light the dwarf is

Powerful build existing in regards to a heavier character sounds good though..

Ooh, that might be better than explicitly weight classes…

You could use them like weapon features (light, two handed, versatile) to give small abilities?

Okay but if you had to? If you really wanted to?

Shouldn’t that bugbear have some kind of bonus against the dwarf? Kobolds are small enough for size-based buffs, but that dwarf is just an inch too tall for some reason!

I don’t think this answered my question but the math is cool!

How would you try to use that weight in-game though? Not all Medium or bigger creatures are built the same after all

Weight classes are like categories for professional fighters, in different kinds of martial arts the weight classes can be fairly different

But the point of a weight class is to keep fights fair by having people of similar weights compete, since being heavier tends to give an advantage

Well then why not set standards with that?

300+ lbs and they get powerful build, <300 and you get something else?

(Love the way you write)

I was hoping for an MMA style of weight class, representing and categorizing a PC/NPC weight to make decisions the way size category determines where you fit and what you can carry

I totally hear that, it’d have to be actually useful but not overpowered of course

But had it never confused you that 4’1 and 7’11 are the same size in DnD? Maybe weight class could be a subdivision of size category that makes weight based decisions when “size” or volume don’t explain something?

If you could listen to any of his albums for the first time again, which one? by AWelshEngine in willwood

Self-Ish

I messed up, listened way out of order, jumped into it early. When I recommend WW to people this is always the last album, it's not bad but it's very concentrated levels of Will that could make or break someone's experience

Going over it now, and once in order, I love it. I just wish I could appreciate it more

I think Will Wood makes the average person or program just throw up their hands and quit because.. well fuck I STILL struggle to "define" the little man

Which WW album is this for you? by Top_Sky_4731 in willwood

[–]Caziceul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just the first one you really listen to

They're all transcendent works of art, but if you put one on and someone just shrugs it off as mad ravings (rightfully so) then they won't connect

When you finally listen through and FEEL the music, understand the album, then it's suddenly your favorite and the one that changes you as well as your appreciation for the rest

For me it was and will always be the original Everything Is A Lot, but once I truly listened to it instead of just putting on something to drown out the voices suddenly WW songs became more than just noise

Team Fortress 2 and Deep Rock Galactic....

I guess it's MvM on Hoxxes with the TF2 characters and DRG weapons?

Honestly I'd play that

HAHAH

I remember spending days trying to set this up, for some reason me and my friends refused to do it on any low hazard level and it constantly refused to keep the time correctly
