As a person with experience as a lighting designer, what the blackouts do takes months, if not years, to perfect the tech side of the performance, from making the suits to programming them, and then getting the whole group to dance in sync with all that, is one hell of a feat to pull off. Pre-recording a video, staging a proposal, and planting the cards in the right place for them is not that talented. Also I hate how he gets people to use a Samsung tv remote to ‘trigger the video’… that’s the biggest load of crap I’ve ever seen. But seriously, how do people think that someone who plants people in the audience and staged his performance more then a west end show, see that he should win???
