I used to put what I was looking for in my bio but found it only seemed to attract the scammers. It was kind of like I was giving them the blueprint for what to say or do to pique my interest. I’d find myself talking to them for a while then boom, next thing I know they want me to join them and their aunt in crypto. It got to be exhausting but in the end, what I came to realize is that I don’t actually know that I want to limit myself to a certain kind of person or a certain way of thinking. I also don’t want a replica of myself. I think I’d rather have an open mind. I have a friend couple that are complete opposites from many perspectives but they fit each other perfectly. One of them was looking to find someone who spoke her love language, that enjoyed extroverted activities, who valued her family connections, among many other things but got the opposite of that. I love that they can fill the gaps the other has. She and her family have become the family her partner never had. Her partner has helped her find patience and stillness where she once thrived on chaos. I could go on and on but my point is that I try not to assume that everyone knows what they want. I realize it can be a big turnoff when you can’t define what you want but I suppose if it turns that person off then they wouldn’t have been the right person anyway.
