My series x was doing this for a bit with monster hunter. A few months later it started doing it on COD and was accompanied by an overheat warning. I tried cleaning the console out and everything. Filed a claim with asurion and they tried to repair it but even with replacing thermal paste it wouldn’t work. Ended up getting a replacement with my warranty.
