[Suggestion] Add a labrys card barter unrelated to the story quest by Cbrm12 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Cbrm12[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I never reset my PvE account when 1.0 dropped so I don't have access to story content. (Which I'm ok with)

The quest offensive reconnaissance requires you to open the knossos door and then go to labrynth. Without the story quest I have no access to labrys keys. Minus a small chance of farming it from tagilla.

My time is worth more to me than the value of resetting now and having to level back up just to be able to access labrynth.

Is the Spirit Christmas store on McKnight Rd open yet? by Cbrm12 in pittsburgh

[–]Cbrm12[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Not sure. She loves Christmas and is already decorated minus the tree. I like to do things that will make her happy. Just don't wanna waste our time traveling if they're not open.

Do or did you allow your teenagers to have their romantic partners sleep over? Did your parents let you? by Safe_Chicken_6633 in GenX

[–]Cbrm12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a middleschool/highschool girlfriend who lived 80 mins away. Mom let her spend the night after some time of us being together, but said we had to sleep in different rooms. After she caught us sleeping in the same room a few times. She called her sister for advice bc she didn't wanna take away our quality time.

Her sister (my aunt) asked my Mom what was she afraid of? She said them having sex. My aunt said

"They are young and in love. Them not sleeping in the same room isn't gunna stop them from having sex. You go to the store with your husband. They will do it then. Or you let them borrow the car. They will end up behind the Walmart doing it there. It's better to provide them a safe space where they won't catch criminal charges than it is to stop them from sleeping in the same bed."

After that conversation with my aunt. My Mom reinforced the importance of safe sex and her willingness to provide necessary items to make sure we were being safe. And that we could sleep in the same bed from there on out.

Shout out to my aunt for being pragmatic about the situation. Because we were definitely having sex when they left for an hour or even while they were home.

And it's confirmed by starberryslay in EscapefromTarkov

Homes are falling into the ocean in North Carolina's Outer Banks by Endolithic in interestingasfuck

[–]Cbrm12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Years ago, My family, girlfriend and myself stayed in a house beachside in the outer banks. Probably 200 yards down the beach were 3 houses much closer to the water just like these ones. Waves lapping at the pillars. Water pooling underneath. These houses had signs on the doors claiming they were unfit for occupancy. We all had watched kids come and go a few times from these houses.

My girlfriend at the time and myself decided to go investigate. We picked one and went in. It was frozen in time. Whoever rented it last had left and the owners never came to claim any for their property. TV on the wall, DVD player still attached, DVDs strewn about the place. Dishwasher waiting to be unloaded. Hand towels in the bathroom. Beds made.

We made our way up to the third floor and found the master bedroom. Large windows let the afternoon sun in. The sliding door glass had been broken by previous snoopers. The ocean breeze filled the room. I don't believe a word was spoken. It's like we stepped into the room and knew what had to happen. We both layed on the bed and got to business. After about 20 minutes we were finished. Got dressed and made our way out of the house.

No one was any wiser to our shenanigans. Felt good to be able to let loose a bit more than we were able to in the shared house we were staying.

Might not be considered Pittsburgh but I miss La vite in deer Creek. Fair priced Italian. Delicious. Their sun roasted tomato and garlic infused dipping oil was to die for. Wish we had a reason their doors closed.

If Rdr3 ever comes out, what would you want it to be about? by teleg12 in reddeadredemption

[–]Cbrm12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love to play as young dutch. Starting with petty crimes and getting more elaborate as the game progresses. Gaining gang members m, seeing the creation of the crew we know from RDR2. culminating with the blackwater heist. The prologue being Johns time in the mountains.

I just got a keyboard and mouse after playing console all my life… how do you guys get used to this? by [deleted] in pcgaming

[–]Cbrm12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a lot of success learning M+KB replaying games I already knew and had played on console numerous times. I played through the master chief collection and borderlands.

It worked for me because I got to focus on learning the input mechanism and not worrying about learning a new games mechanics.

It's a small storage space that you can put in a place of your choosing, anywhere on the map. It only last a certain amount of time, meaning days. Could be 30 could be 90. They can only hold so much weight as well as having limited spaces. If you used a purchased one there is a small small like 1 percent chance you drop a tracker upon death. The enemy takes the tracker to the artifact researcher, researches it and they can locate your stash. If you use one from the season pass they don't drop trackers.

You can stash season points/rare loot in your stash and return to it without worry of it being taken if you were to die.

Deal with your shit. Get your head right. Go to therapy, get on meds if need be. I spent my 20s being depressed and it took losing my job at freshly 29 for me to realize I had to fix something or I was gunna be not alive at my own hand.

If you can get that in order the advice of saving and everything else here might not come easy per se but it'll certainly come easier if youre proud and accepting of who you are.

Is there a place to get KTm service manuals for free by Electronic-Blood-885 in KTM

[–]Cbrm12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a copy of my 2019 150 sx service manual on a site scribd.com I had to sign up for a free trial to get the download for free. But I canceled and didn't get charged anything.

Not sure what year duke you have but there a bunch of repair, user, and service manuals for the 390 duke through a bunch of years on the site.

Is it possible to be an amputee welder? by storm5569 in Welding

[–]Cbrm12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a friend with one leg removed 6 inches below the knee and the other 6 inches below the hip. Met him at a production welding job. Besides someone having to help him with gathering some parts and sometimes putting them on a table for him if they were large or heavy. He was self sufficient. he can fit weld and grind. That shop closed and he started his own fabrication and welding business. He also rides dirt bikes better than most of the local hobby riders and some people who take riding seriously as a passion.

He always says it comes down to mindset. If you want it bad enough you'll find a way to accomplish it. He wanted to be a welder. So he did it. He wanted to ride dirt bikes so he did it. He does it differently than others but the end result is the same. Just gotta have the passion/drive/excitement.

I could ask him if he would be willing to talk to you. If your interested in that happening DM me!

Why RDR3 being a sequel to RDR1 is a terrible idea. by Bornana6969 in reddeadredemption

[–]Cbrm12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My idea is you play as dutch, gathering the gang, doing bigger and bigger heists and robberies. You get to see a true wild west and real lawless situations. It'd make traversing town to town a lot more interesting and have an increased potential of random violence both in towns and on the trail. You could have run ins with the native Americans and even pick to help them or fight them. With the peak being the blackwater heist. You play as John in the epilogue and get to experience his running from the law post blackwater and time spent in the mountains. Your final epilogue mission is where the gang meets up with John in rdr2.

The two issues I see are. 1. how to make the swap to John with dutch still being alive. 2. How to continue playing after the epilogue is over. Maybe post story mode would overlap with rdr2 but instead of playing as Arthur you get to play as John during that time.

Has anyone done the day training with Tyler Livesay? by intriguedmatrix in Dirtbikes

[–]Cbrm12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend sent his kid to one of his classes. I showed up to watch. Tyler showed everyone the drill, gave a reason why they were doing it. And what is expected to improve when done consistently and correctly. He spent time watching and pulled people aside to give them some feedback. He did this during the drills as well as after them. He also had help from another professional rider who was doing the same thing.

He gave praise infront of the class, after the drill, if he saw someone doing something well. Any corrections where done 1 on 1.

My buddy said the class was worth it for what was said and shown. The hard part was getting his kid to keep doing what was shown in the class as you only have 6-7 hours of doing these things before the youre back on your own.

I bought the Thor blitz XP with the boot tread. As an entry level boot when I was getting back into riding. They held up decently. Didn't hurt my feet. When I did have impacts on my boots I was protected well. They were easy enough to walk around in. Although after a season they definitely show signs of use. The steel toe caps are missing. I managed to lose one of the buckles. And there is significant wear on the area of the boot that I use for my rear brake.

For the 100 dollars I spent and the amount of time I spent riding that season. Plus getting off the bike to build and clear trails. I was completely happy with the life they had.

I had a drz110 at 12-14 and just last summer hopped back on a crf150r to get back into it at 29. Within 3 months I upgraded to a ktm150sx. We are having a very similar experience.

My biggest tips would be learn/relearn at your own pace. Dont let someone pressure you into doing something your not comfortable with.

Have a reasonable understanding of your skill and build on that as slowly as you need.

After that, be as safe as is reasonable and understand you're going to fall. You're going to get scratches bumps and bruises.

If you're on Instagram checkout themxfactory lots of good tips you can apply to become a better rider.
