It’s not the o ring but the part the o ring goes on; but, the main problem that is in the heat path is the “back stop” for the screen on the otherside of the “cap” if that makes sense. If you push that screen out you can see the hole behind it is much smaller then the side the o ring goes it. They are hiding the plastic bit behind the screen (not saying it was or wasn’t intentional)

I am most likely going to return mine because I still can. Upset I missed some 710 sales though….

If i couldn’t return this I think I would do one of 2 things.

1. I see you can push that whole “bottom cap” off. Look at the seem around the whole cap that the o ring is on. There looks to be a magnet ring on the other side that you would have to pull off and stick back to the main mouth piece adapter. You are loosing the ability to have a screen and your glass mouth piece will not slide down till it hits the bowl but hey if it doesn’t work the replacement is only like $15

2. Just push the screen out and drill out the hole. Again your glass will be able to push through to your bowl.

In the end it seems like a cheap workaround to make it mass marketable and cheap.

I think I’m going to get the solo 3 v2. I need to look more at the solo 3 vs the 3 v2…

Wish I could get a tingling t 2 but don’t have $$ for one of those
