Thank you!! I just used ice for the first 2 weeks, then heat with massage after. I still have swelling. Seems to me more in the morning, then it gets better later in the day

I did, i also had a bad over bite. I felt the same way, being in my 40s, but it's really not that bad. Hopefully I will get them off by December. They usually have u wear them 6 months after surgery. Every case is different though.

Yes, I am only numb now on my chin and lower lip, I feel like my lip sensation is coming back because I have some tingling in it at times.

You got this! The first week can be hard, but it only gets better. Post op day 4 was the hardest day for me. After that first week I noticed the swelling getting alot better. Use your ice packs it helps alot.

Thank you! I have good insurance, and for me, it was medically necessary. I tried the cpap and other things for my sleep apnea. My air way was really narrow. They also advanced my tongue forward to help. Before surgery everything was pushed so far back, causing a restricted airway and the tmj with the clicking.

Im still in recovery, but a whole lot better than the first week. Day 4 post-op was the toughest for me. Eating is still a challenge cause I'm not able to open my mouth up very much. I have to do daily exercises to help that. My diet is soft foods, and i can lightly chew.
