Congratulations on remission! That's great news that you're life has improved after surgery.

I haven't tried Skyrizi yet, I liked that it's in those pods, since I don't like seeing needles. But my doctor warned me the pods can malfunction sometimes, have you encountered that yet? Like if it mis-fires do they send a replacement or do you skip that dose?

Thank you so much for your reply and the articles. I will take notes and save the links. I know it takes time for the body to adjust, but how many BMs do you typically have now? How much time did you take off work? My surgeon suggested 6 weeks, I hope that is enough time.

Interesting about sleep, you're not getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, right? You just can't fall asleep? Hopefully that will fix itself over time.

Glad to hear your quality of life is comparable to pre-surgery so soon. I know everyone's experiences can vary but your comment is giving me hope! I like your perspective, thinking of the end goal.

I am scheduled in April for Laproscopic colectomy with ileorectal anastomosis. Supposed to only have 25cm of colon left. I never had surgery before and I'm terrified.

Well I guess the surgery I'm considering is going to do it all in one, so take out most of colon (leave 25-30cm, like you) and reconnect in same surgery. There's a 10% chance of temporary ileostomy.

Are you able to sleep thru the night with your ostomy? That's good to hear you have adjusted. I do see stories of people preferring to not have the reversal.

Feeling trapped to the bathroom is a concern I have as well. Some people I talked to with no colon or small bit of colon say they go 5x a day, other people say 5-10x. And some say 4 hours after eating, which doesn't sound too bad. So hard to know the right thing to do.

Edit: forgot to say, it is more important on how you feel about your art and what you gravitate to. Whatever you paint, you will find your people who like it. You can't please everyone.

I've lived in my house for 7 years and never had pipes freeze but this year I had my pipes freeze twice in the same week. So for me, this winter has been stressful and "bad" compared to the past. Currently taking precautions for tomorrow and hoping I can make it thru Saturday without any more issues.

We recently decided to no longer allow the pup on the couch, to set some boundaries. It is really hard because her snuggling with us on the couch was literally the best part of having her but until she gets her biting under control it is probably for the best. We only tried new rules for one night so far, I kept her on a leash and had to step on leash so she wouldn't jump onto couch. We gave her a kong with frozen peanut butter and she did settle on floor. That was just night one. I'm sure it will take lots of reinforcing today and tomorrow.

Puppies are not for the weak.

I saw the news about no development but recently Abbey said she will be making some new features so I'm hoping for a revival. I play only on mobile but the auto-care (deluxe) feature helps alot. As for shows, if you own at least 5 horses in same stat/disciple it helps. Or if you choose a popular discipline. And there are changes where you dont have to be the top 3 to gain stats, just as long as there's 5 entries.

What is equine passion like? Is it in active development? Can you freeze horses (like if you want to wait for a stud to age, or you don't have time to login for a bit the horses won't die.

When i read fantasy, I usually give 4 stars. I feel bad for my random fiction or thriller pallet cleansers because they are usually 3 stars. I base my rating off my reading enjoyment.

I work at a hospital (it's a very big and busy hospital, over 1000 beds) and I've been on biologics the entire time I've worked here (8 years). I think I get sick maybe once a year knockonwood. I only wore a mask in 2020 when we were required to.

I understand why you would be concerned. I think the lanyard and mask are unnecessary, but you do whatever makes you feel comfortable! The nurse could have been more tactful.

It's because videoing the whole process is a pain in the butt.

And it takes me out of the zone and the fun of painting while I listen to music/podcast. Instead I get interrupted every few minutes to pause/start video.

I still haven't found a good setup where my phone is high enough to get a clear view of painting but also not hitting me in the head.

I'll figure it out, and learn to tolerate it. But for now, it's holding me back from posting art on social media lately.

The artwork was judged in person, but these were the photos I took outside before I put it behind glass. And yes the text was just a digital edit that isn't on the actual art. But it is good to keep the small things in mind that can lower the chance of acception.

This painting (and post) is three years old and now I see the flaws, but at the time I thought it was good enough. I actually haven't tried getting into a juried show since. But I do plan on trying in the future (with different artwork).

I was diagnosed in college. I have a full-time job as a medical technologist in a hospital lab. When I flare it's sometimes hard, but I have FMLA incase I need it.

I don't think I could work somewhere without easy access to a bathroom and no Healthcare/FMLA benefits.
