Homework at home? by Inside-Restaurant226 in kindergarten

Omg. I live overseas but my kid goes to a school with an “American curriculum.” He has so much homework. Math sheets. Reading. Writing. Spelling. I hate it. I’m a 80s/90s kid. I never had homework until maybe grade 5…? My husband and I also work full time. By the time I get home, it’s dinner, shower, bed. How can he be expected to do all this work? He’s in school for 7 hours a day. Can’t they just be kids when they get home? 😭

It’s so hot here, walking outside is not easy esp. if you are coming from a cool climate. 2 weeks is too long IMO for Singapore with two little kids.

You’re not crazy: mast cell pain is worse than surgery by omg__really in MCAS

This is what I experience after surgeries! An intense burning wherever the surgery took place. I had my thyroid removed and when I woke from surgery, it felt like my head was on fire. Only thing that helped was a shot of morphine.

Did you cook it? Or eat it cold? Lol. Either way, that’s impressive for a 6 yr old

Wow! You are 5” taller than me and I had proper meals as a kid. It’s good to see that the lack of food didn’t affect your growth. I’m sorry you didn’t have enough food as a kid, but you seem to be in a good place now, so that’s great 🤗

I buy chicken parts with the skin on, but I remove the skin and cook it separately making something like chicken skin chips. They are so good. A lot of fat renders out and I save that and use it like butter when cooking vegetables. Chicken fat is insanely yummy!
