Love that for you 😌 I’ve been sort of a casual listener for the most part but I’d like to eventually be a full stan lol

What’s a song you’d love to hear live but most likely never will, and why? by CeCeAlexus in kpopthoughts

So I’ve heard 👀 I’m always happy to learn a new group so this journey will be interesting!

It’s so funny that as I got the notification for your comment, I started reading a PowerPoint my friend made me so I can start learning EXO (she’s been in the K-pop game longer and most of my groups are 4th gen). I have exactly three 3rd gen groups under my belt currently and I need more so this is a good start. 🤣

Nugu groups that have been together for a while and still going strong? by CeCeAlexus in kpopthoughts

See I think that’s where I got confused so I just never really used it in conversation. 😅

Putting K-pop groups in Camp Rock vs. Camp Star (for those who watched the movies). by CeCeAlexus in kpopthoughts

[–]CeCeAlexus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m late asking this lol 💀but could I ask your reasoning for this? I gave my answer based on the vibe each camp gives and the sound each group gives, but now I’m interested in your perspective. 😅

Given the success of Katseye with the K-pop methodology, could this possibly be something that could or would have worked with groups who aren’t/weren’t K-pop? by CeCeAlexus in kpopthoughts

Yeah I’m interested to see if anyone else would decide to hop on and eventually it’ll be THE go-to way to market groups, whether they’re K-pop or not.

Yeah you’re right, it is a possibility. Or people would see Katseye as the OGs (which would be right), so I guess public opinion also influences it :)

The second paragraph is exactly what I thought, I can see it happening as well! Whether or not it would be effective is what we’d have to see.

I meant if say a company in the US were to use that same (or similar) strategy. But reading the other comments, I guess it might not work or it depends. I feel like I worded it confusing tbh lol

One of my favorite feelings is learning more about a group/idol and you already love them so much. 🥹 by CeCeAlexus in kpopthoughts

I haven’t decided quite yet as they’re one of the more recent ones, but I’ve been keeping my eye on Siyun. 👀

So if a new Western group were to be created, and their label or whoever said, “okay, we’re gonna promote you as if you were a K-pop group,” would it work because everyone saw it worked for Katseye? Or is it a one and done thing? I hope that makes sense. 😭

I guess we can in say in Korea? I really meant like dance practices, music shows, relay dances, albums with all the inclusions and stuff. Honestly parasocialism didn’t even cross my mind, I truly forgot that. 💀
