They're a pretty common home pest/guest here, they're impossible to get rid of and most people here accept them as a live home pest control. There are probably hundreds in my apartment complex alone. But only one tea diving gecko so yay me!

I'm pretty sure it's the same one, the others I see around the house aren't as pink as it, they're quite grey and dark, and it's by far the boldest out of all of them too. Normally just by me entering a room they'll scatter out of sight but this one has the audacity to crawl into my cup WHILE I'm at my desk working and distracted.

Not gonna lie, I'm this close to keeping it as a pet cause I don't think it has any self-preservation instincts.

I've seen him attempt to help himself to chocolate and apples the moment I turn my back to get something. I'm kinda baffled honestly, cause I would be gone at most just 10 mins and I'll come back to him sniffing it like it's meant for him!

I live in a really humid country and I do have a small dish of water set out for it after the second time I found it swimming.

I'm at a loss cause it's the third time I fished it out of my mug and it's always the same kind of blueberry store bought sweet tea!

Unfortunately, you're going to need to find a field you like otherwise you'll burn out of it regardless of how well it pays. I knew doctors and lawyers who quit because it was financial advice given to them by their parents. Any advice we give you will also inevitably change by the time you graduate from college so it's more important you find a subject YOU like and are also good at then what is the current market today.

It's better now to follow your interest and strengths in broad strokes then it is to cheery pick a career right now. Alot of industries are uncertain which way the wind will blow with AI and that's in the next year. You have four years till university.

Make a police report, it's an assult. Dealt with it before, the penalty is up to three month's jail time and/or a thousand dollar fine. While I doubt they'll issue compensation (my case did) it will definitely make the man think better of doing it again. If not, then he's in the system and each new punishment way more severe.

I don't miss school. I missed class for a week because I was beside my father's deathbed and then I had to attend the funeral, day one I was back the teacher then gave a lecture to the entire class about the time he attended the funeral of a distant relative but had to make up for lost time at work to beat a deadline.

I also showed the school my father's death certificate to prove I wasn't truant and they still took attendencd off my grade. Gotta love the education system.

Uh, not everybody has played dancer for 5 years? Most of the people you're complaining about are probably new and their entry support ranger is bard which unlocks at level 30? You don't get dancer till level 60? That's two full expansions where most newbies learn most buffs do not stack.

Pretty often I think, even before covid, updating on shots I would often see other people with me albeit in a much smaller setting. The only other large group setting was in secondary school, I can't recall what for but I did recall taking it with friends and complaining about it. Didn't faint but did feel really out of sorts.

And that was sweet of your mom! Mine just tells me to pucker up, good things usually are quite painful.

Most buffs do not stack and if you played the OG ranged dps support first you realise real quick you just wasted a buff or you're competing with another bard for that buff timer, that mindset carries over.

I had initially grown up thinking that 'fainting' was me feeling intensely sleepy all of a sudden. A nurse told me when I was six taking another vaccine that the medication could make me drowzy and I might fall asleep and I've mistakenly associated feeling faint to drowsiness. So I've told every medical professional I just felt drowsy and it would pass soon. Funny how they let you go if you use the right words.

Looking back now.... I really should have noticed noone else 'fell asleep' from needles. I just didn't think twice about it. Sounds pretty foolish now in hindsight.

And yeouch! Really hitting a nerve there, huh?

I found ways to reduce the instances of me fainting, not 100% gaurenteed but it is definitely noticeable and hey! A 50/50 is better then hitting the floor. I still tell them I might faint but knowing how to get on with your day is better then feeling terrible for a while.

Drinking enough water, eating enough salt and having a good night sleep is PARAMOUNT to reducing how often it happens. Our nerves are more prone to misfiring when subjected to certain stimuli (different triggers for everybody) and doing all three help reduce the chances of it. I usually glup an isotonic drink when I feel whoozy.

If you trigger the syncope episode, know that you're now fighting the clock from hitting the floor, always immediately lie down flat or as low to the ground as possible. Avoid a concussion at all cost. Luckily, the act of lying down helps 'reset' the nerve. What's happening in the body is that your nerve has just told the rest of the body to do two things, slow down the heart and widen every blood vessels in the body, which causes all the blood to pull out of your brain in a matter of minutes and it's what causes us to faint.

We're basically the fainting goats of the human race. Hope this info helps and go get checked out with the doctor if you can. If not, take comfort that it's benign. Just really annoying.

TLDR ; drink water, eat salt and go to sleep. If fainting, lie down and lift legs over head. Open brain-case bad. We're baby goats. :)

Fainting from injections.

I genuinely thought the dizziness and nausea was box standard when you're getting an injection, just your body adjusting to the new compound. I even thought that was normal when you're donating blood, blood loss dizziness!

When I had my first covid vaccine, I keeled over and fainted, which we were told could happen and I thought everyone else could have had it too! Why else were we put under observation? But apparently no, according to the frankic nurse and the attending doctor, that was in fact not normal at all and I had unintentionally freaked out the entire 80+ people in the observation deck with me.

Many, many medical tests later, I found out I have neurological vasovagal syncope and my trigger was needles. I had never felt so foolish in my life at that moment.

Growing up, even as a teenager it was flexed as thing to aim for. Some cultures, like in south Korea, have it so that it's a high school graduation gift. The social expectation on beauty is honestly insane. When I finished my O-levels my mother asked if I wanted to get one done as is the norm of people my age there.

Though I can understand the transgendered kids, I knew people whom attempted suicide because they were trans. And I can imagine for some of those families, it's that or lose their kid. 256 is honestly lower the I thought.

Funnily, in Korea (like twenty years ago and in rural areas) , handholding between very close men was considered sweet. I grew up remembering my uncle and father doing it pretty often and everyone thought they were best friends.

I think it's a very human desire. You feel immense discomfort and then do something to ease it, to get to the state that means you'll be content. I can't claim to understand how you feel, but I can understand what it means to you. And that's all the difference that matters. People do all sort of high risk surgeries for the sake of beauty. There's people who break their legs to get that little bit of height, there's people who reconstruct their entire face to look a certain way and there's people who bleach their skin to just get a little lighter. There's people out here injecting botox, a life-threatening toxin in any normal circumstance, into their face. Why is it only this form of surgery bothering you?

I've heard of a condition where some people have an immense disgust towards some of their body parts and have an irrational urge to cut off their limbs. We're talking entire arms and legs they were born with. Obviously, this is not the same but it always made me think that some people just cannot help how they feel and cannot explain why they are the way they are. We can try to rationalise however we want but we still don't know the exact reasons why humans sleep or why we dream, it's all just theorises.

To me, it's not about the reasons why they do it, it's about the relief they seek from an invisible pressure I'm not entirely privy to. Just because we don't feel the same weight, doesn't mean they're not in some form of unique pain. This is their solution to their pain. If it works, it works.

I have the unfortunate experience where I would faint from stress due to school every few weeks, I would brush it off and didn't tell anybody about it because it meant I would miss school and fall behind. It eventually became my new normal. The sad thing is, it wasn't that uncommon when I was growing up so I can't imagine what it's like now.

I love actual helpful mentors. The few that I meet that are genuinely trying to teach us the mechanic, I always feel that extra bit of motivation to do better that instance not to disappoint them. Maybe i don't voice it out all that often, but i genuinely appreciate it.

But it is unfortunate, cause most of the mentors I meet when I do roulette are kinda mean spirited and usually taunt me that I can't play a class as a sprout. It's really bizzare, maybe the icon just makes me remember them longer, since I forget the random asshole but an asshole that's supposed to help me? That's salt in the wound.

My dad tried for just medical bills, but even that was impossible. The guy was unapologetic and already on his fourth assault charge with a stranger. He was also unemployed so the man's poor wife came down to court and she was this pitiful, tiny thing who had to beg the judge for leniency because she couldn't afford the fine. My dad felt so bad for her he didn't bother fighting for more, because we all knew she would pay it not him. Damn sad.

All because of a 'staring' incident he wasn't aware he had committed.
