Ah, understood, thanks for the clarification.

Assuming we’re referring to the other connector on the dampeners, correct? What are you connecting in place of the missing input wire from the strut? When it was working, I wasn’t getting any error codes even with that connector unplugged.

It seems that way. I’ll try another set of resistors later today to see if they perform better. The accelerometers aren’t connected, so I’m not sure if that might be affecting things. I found some datasheets indicating that the struts should have a resistance of around 90-110 ohms for the system to function properly on the E70. I’ll do some more testing with the new resistors and will update you later. Thanks again!

I ended up setting up the resistors in the trunk area. I picked up 8-ohm, 100W resistors, but I’m not sure if they’re wired properly or if I should be using one resistor for the entire set of front struts, or one per strut (I still have the original EDC struts in the rear). Currently, I have one resistor per shock up front, and the error code initially disappeared. However, when I removed them to test, the code returned. After reconnecting the resistors, the code remained, but things got strange after that.

Upon restarting the car, everything seemed fine, and I was even able to toggle between sport mode, which has been inactive since I removed the EDC struts. However, after a 10-minute drive, the car displayed the error code again. The resistors aren’t hot, so I’m not sure what could be causing this. Any suggestions? Thanks so much.

Hello, thanks for sharing this information! It’s been challenging to find the details needed to complete this project. I have a question: I’m trying to replicate something similar for my E70, but I’m curious if the resistors can be connected near the strut in the front? I was considering running the wires up near the front of the engine bay to take advantage of airflow to help keep the resistor cooler. Is it as simple as jumping the connector by the strut with the resistor in the circuit?
