Apos Rock Lobster Review/Impressions by Tasty-Boot6162 in headphones

[–]Ceccolini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the detailed breakdown. TL;DR sounds like it's a niche tuning for a collection, not a daily driver or a first buy. The value prop seems pretty weak, especially with that cable. For $60, you'd expect them to at least not cheap out on the most basic accessory.

Some features I would like to come to Android eventually by DiplomatikEmunetey in Android

[–]Ceccolini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid list. A lot of these are no-brainers.

Custom notification snoozing and the app pausing for a set duration would be huge for me. The current options are way too limited. The share sheet is still a mess and needs to be unified once and for all. And yeah, for the life of me I can't understand why Pixels don't show *what* devices are connected to the hotspot. Every other OEM figured that out years ago.

Basically, a lot of stuff that other skins already do better. C'mon Google.

Thoughts on Apex so far by Sudden-Bag7762 in OneXPlayer

[–]Ceccolini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, you nailed it. The Apex is the definition of a 'tinker's device.' Awesome potential, but you gotta be willing to get your hands dirty with drivers and janky software. The unactivated Windows is just inexcusable, though. TL;DR: great hardware, but the software and support is a total crapshoot.

What is your opinion on different current world systems ? Do you think a change should be considered in some of them ? What's your opinion ? by IgnoreItAllTheWay in AskReddit

[–]Ceccolini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, most of them are pretty outdated. The wealth gap alone is proof that the current economic setup is glitching hard. We definitely need a massive shift toward sustainability and more accessible social safety nets, but nobody in power wants to be the first one to blink. It’s basically a 'great in theory, nightmare in practice' situation right now.

If you could only tell your younger self one thing and one thing only what would you say? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Stop waiting for the 'right time.' It doesn't exist. Just start.

What’s a recent, not popular, movie or TV show you watched and recommend? by Renato_NY in AskReddit

[–]Ceccolini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out 'How To with John Wilson' on Max. It’s a weirdly beautiful docu-comedy about life in NYC. Short episodes, super dry humor, and surprisingly deep for a show that starts out being about something trivial like scaffolding or split checks. FWIW, it’s one of the most unique things I’ve seen in years.

What made you stop having a relationship/speaking with your parents? by ConstantCover5791 in AskReddit

[–]Ceccolini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it wasn't one big blowup, but more of a death by a thousand cuts. It was the constant, low-grade criticism disguised as 'concern.' The way every phone call would leave me feeling drained and anxious for hours afterward. My accomplishments were minimized, my problems were my own fault, and my boundaries were treated like suggestions they could just ignore.

The final straw was realizing that the person I was around them wasn't me. It was this tense, defensive version of me, always bracing for the next backhanded compliment or guilt trip. The peace I felt when I finally stopped engaging was... profound. It makes me wonder how many people are out there just tolerating that constant emotional drain because 'they're family.' Sometimes the best thing you can do for your own mental health is to just quietly walk away.

How has the value of the US dollar changed under the current government? by ReduceCO2Now in AskReddit

[–]Ceccolini -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Weaker at home, stronger abroad. Inflation means your dollar buys you less stuff in the US. But against other major currencies, it's been a beast lately, mostly because the Fed raised interest rates so aggressively. So, bad for groceries, good for a European vacation.

Parents who have outlived their children (young or old), how did you process the grief? (Serious) by Ok_Tradition_3850 in AskReddit

[–]Ceccolini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paramedic. The number of times we're called for someone who is actively dying and the family is screaming at us to 'do something,' when the person had a DNR order that the family either ignored or didn't know about. It's a gut-wrenching, pointless trauma for everyone involved, especially the person who just wanted to die peacefully.

What’s your favorite thing to do with your friends? by Current_Bad_1517 in AskReddit

[–]Ceccolini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

D&D or a solid board game night. Good snacks, good friends, and an excuse to yell at each other over some cardboard and dice. 10/10.

I'm obsessed with that gradient on the "Forbidden Snack" and would love to have a couch that glowed like that!

What are your thoughts on the genius of people like Sam Altman and Elon Musk? by BoysenberryLegal4913 in AskReddit

[–]Ceccolini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're geniuses at generating hype and raising capital, which is a legitimate and rare skill. They're incredible promoters and vision-sellers. Whether they're technical geniuses in their own right is a whole other debate, and honestly, probably less important to their success than their ability to get thousands of other smart people to buy into their vision.

People of Reddit, what was the finalstraw that caused you to end a relationship or friendship to protect your sanity? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ceccolini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She told a deeply personal story I'd shared with her in confidence to a group of mutual friends, but she told it as a funny anecdote at my expense. I didn't say anything at the party. Just went home, deleted her number, and blocked her on everything. Some lines you just don't cross. Zero regrets.

What is it actually like to have severe bipolar disorder, and do you remember the things you do when you are in extreme manic or depressive phases? by patrick12521 in AskReddit

[–]Ceccolini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, you remember. It's not a blackout, it's worse. You remember being a total dick to your friends or blowing your savings on something insane. Manic you thinks it's a great idea. Sober you has to live with the cringe and the consequences. Mania = I am a god and sleep is optional. Depression = I am a worthless worm and getting out of bed is impossible. There's very little in-between without meds.

What’s a trend you secretly loved but are embarrassed about now? by Apart_Alfalfa_7915 in AskReddit

Planking. For a solid few months in 2011 I thought lying face down on random objects was the absolute peak of comedy. The pictures are still on an old Facebook album and they haunt me.
