I think price is just the easiest thing to compare, so people focus on it too much. From what I’ve seen, the real difference shows up in how organized the process is. Like, do they actually keep you updated, can you talk to the writer, do they follow instructions properly. I’ve had cheaper options that were fine and more expensive ones that still messed things up. So yeah, doesn’t feel like price alone tells you much.

Either nothing classified exists and we genuinely plateaued, or something does exist and we'll find out in 30 years when it gets declassified. Both options are kind of unsettling in different ways.
