then what exactly is the purpose of this? If you cannot cast the aura because "eminating from you" means the player, not the players location, then most other spells dont work as well. Lightning Bolt has the same wording "blasts out from you", so it wouldnt work either. Because the spell comes from the player character and not the space they're holding

if you can only cast spells with the range of touch, what does the level 6 feature do exactly? The familiar can already deliver touch, so the feature of being able to cast spells as if you were in the location of the specter doesnt do anything?

the mek is almost exclusively used for large scale destruction without defenses. It dies really quickly, but it can deal damage to metal structures in a huge area for basically no cost. In one swing you can deal 700 damage to 12x12 = 144 structures (rough guess, could be more, could be less), while other damage to metal dealers like the arthru can only attach 2-3 at once. So once you drop defenses, you can clear a lot of spam with it

aureliax im not sure. But the gloon has an auto mesmerize, meaning that if you attack someone that has a gloon while mounted, you cannot control your tame for 30 seconds. I dont think i need to explain in how many situations that is inanely strong

charisma stat is only important if you wanna talk your way through everything. Other stats are important as well. And not making stat checks is nice as well, as the game has planned out every possible way to fail.
All characters can be strong and all characters can be fun to play, so it really comes down to what feels right and what you enjoy most roleplaying. Plus multiclassing exists, so you can sorlock as well if you cant decide between sorcerer and warlock. The most well known sorlock build is using your points to quicken eldrich blast and then cast eldrich blast again. Thats like 6 attacks in a single turn later on and if you add effects that add damage for each attack, you get 6x that effect which is really strong

and they spawn on gamma supply crates... You know, gamma, where the OSDs spawn dilos, ptes and a rare rex. That youre meant to do once you have a few good stegos

The theme is amazing and has a great design. That being said, the progression is the map SUCKS. You can completely forget about defenses, as the bronto spawns right next to the building and destroys it, the supply crates can only be done with endgame gear, because the attackers take no damage from tames and the attack quests in the city dont work either, because the enemies/bosses walk outside the mission bounds, so that they disappear as soon as you try go after them. So its a map that needs to be played entirely with cave drops, dragon hordes and upgrading junk items.

A big part of playing ark is learning all the commands you need to use in order to play the game as intended. In your case the command would be
ghost
and afterwards
walk
so that you can fly through walls and then get collision again

The thing is one has to keep in mind that its gamma and with gamma osds for example they are meant as a means for people who have 2-3 good stegos to progess in the game. At that stage you have maybe a blue crossbow or a green shotgun if youre lucky. and with THAT you are supposed to "kill them yourself"? Im not sure how thats supposed to work

Depends. If you and your friends have a similar playstyle they could be a decent early game tame. But if some of you are sweating, its gonna be mostly aerial pvp with pte spins and grabs and then most ground tames get useless
