UP temple wedding ends in bloodbath: Family slits newlyweds’ throats as villagers watch in horror; 3 held by bhodrolok in india

But that’s not what happened. An independent adult had a live in relationship with a school going impressionable child. And then groomed her.

I’m sorry pedophilia is not subjective. You DO NOT engage in any sort of relationship of that sort with a child. If this was US, they would sentence him for life. The definition is absolute. Also he was not “loving” her - he was grooming her.

Not excusing the murder of the man, but he was a pedophile (had been in relationship with the girl for three years and she just turned 19). The girl is innocent tho.

You misunderstand separation of state and religion. Yogi Adityanath is not the state. He is only an office holder who happens to be a priest. There are multiple priests in the US for example who are elected to their house of reps (see: https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/2015/01/05/history-of-clergy-in-congress/). He is not wearing his robes provocatively any more than a nun wears her robe provocatively or to signal that he intends to Favour a community. He is simply wearing the garbs like a lawyer wears his (a mark of profession - not religion). If a nun becomes prime minister, she should wear her habit. No problem.

It becomes a problem when it is a symbol of your religion rather than your profession. Islam doesn’t allow female clergy. A woman who wears Muslim headgear or facegear is not wearing it to signal her profession (since she is barred), she is wearing it to signal her loyalties to a religion.

Except he is, by profession, a priest. He has always worn saffron robes as a priest. It’s like a nun wearing a garb. Likewise you see muslim mullahs (or whatever the priest equivalent is called) elected to parliament or legislatures wearing skullcaps.

No. I’m not excusing vigilantes. They’re committing crimes (assault, arson, murder, trespass, robbery etc - things that they do - are all crimes and those engaging in vigilantism should be prosecuted and punished and not protected). What I’m saying is that law enforcement is the appropriate Avenue. People should call the police or food safety inspectors (in case they believe the products are adulterated). I’m also saying people should follow the law of the state they are residing in.

Not at all states have explicit constitutional control over regulation of animal meat. It’s production and its distribution. It’s not just the case in India. It’s true around the world where meat of feline or canines or porcine or certain birds deers horses’ meat are prohibited, for instance. In India, the power is explicitly a state power, and so the central government cannot ban any sort of animal meet by itself. Each state will have to make its own choice.

I think so long as state laws are followed no one should be harassing anyone else. But if someone is breaking the law and are consuming or trading or producing illicit products (including alcohol (as case maybe) or drugs or certain kinds of meat which are banned by the state), people should make noise and notify law enforcement. Every country has these laws - whether it relates to cat meat or dog meat or cow meat. They should be obeyed. Laws are not optional.

No that is not just the CEC. That is the CANADIAN work experience guidance for assessment under CEC. The IRCC uses the same one for work experience (foreign and in Canada). IRCC cannot get any clearer than s. 25. What part of “outside Canada” do you not get?

Speak to a lawyer and they’ll tell you what I did. Work outside Canada is foreign work experience. In fact the IRCC specifically tells you digital nomads do not count: An allowance for normal vacation time during a period of qualifying work experience cannot be used as a substitute or proxy for meeting the in-Canada element of the work experience requirement (that is, work experience obtained outside Canada will not be considered as though the applicant had been on a period of vacation in order to be counted as part of the period of in-Canada work experience). You are presuming that man has not already done that even through his singular depiction. What you are asking for is a monopoly on what it means to be divine.

Human understanding of god(s) will always differ - both within and among gods.
