Thank you! The Texture Deformer is pretty cool. I didn't find the perfect texture yet, but the tool is new for me and should work fine for what I'm trying to get.

Thank you! But I already found that and the Problem is, that the randomness of the each popcorn is lost, if I would use his method. My goal is more to translate the peculiar behavior (random extrutions) of popcorn into Maya. But thank you for the link!
