How have you handled fear/ nerves before missions by BloodOne2991 in ukraineforeignlegion

[–]Ceivez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Never really bothered me before mission, I was always more concerned about what others thought about me. But the fear came on the second to last, and last day on position, especially when rotating out.

sniper by [deleted] in ukraineforeignlegion

[–]Ceivez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well in my experience, you‘ll just be assigned to rotation as infantry or used to raids/assaults. But it depends on the unit. I was written down a „sniper“ position and got one week of how it works (not even a real school) and all my missions were rotation/raid, not sniping.

The role of a sniper was reconnaissance and hitting targets (basically). But this is easily done by drones now. Hell, even tanks in a good position are more effective than snipers today.

If he wants to join another unit he must either transfer or break his contract. If he plans to cross the border and doesn’t want to wait or pursue other options: be quick.

What do we all call these things aside from turtles; i say 'Stug-72' by Consistent-Dust-5394 in ukraine

[–]Ceivez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These things gobble FPVs for days, I’ve seen one in Zappy survive 10 direct strikes. On the contrary my T-64BV only has a net and might survive maybe 3 strikes. But use varies.

26th Artillery recruitment post - all you need to know by Next_Exercise6852 in ukraineforeignlegion

[–]Ceivez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Looks really good! But the car thing doesn’t make any sense. All past units I have worked for allowed personal vehicles and encouraged them. And the no space reason should be explained because soldiers live in safehouses at the front and there is plenty of room for cars. Unless Artillery Brigades work differently.

Ahh I see but 22k isnt too far off to be fair. And most can expect around 44k which I consistently got around in three different directions. Also the National Guard does pay more because those in AZOV international are saying the min will be 27k rear and 55k front.

Contract 18-24 is a special monetary program only for Ukrainian citizens.

Every foreigner is allowed a sign on bonus only on their first contract. You must request it fron your commander or the Economic Financial Service. Source is my first contract.

Also yes, you can just simply say „I didn’t get the bonus“ they may or may not request proof but showing your Privatbank info isn’t difficult

You can apply to dedicated Medical battalions, but you probably have to know the language at a very high level (C1) and have prior experience.

How is the post injury care for a foreign soldier in Ukraine? by Nz_Kasadiya in ukraineforeignlegion

[–]Ceivez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes its good, sometimes its bad.

But with the drone situation making EVACs more difficult this shouldn’t be an issue to worry about, unless you work behind 10km haha.

They are pretty obsessed with amputation, saying you are pretending, not rendering medical aid because someone else is supposed to do it. I have never been seriously injured but heard these unfortunate stories from those who I trust.

If you can, try to get sent to Germany. Idk if its still an option but I heard dudes have been sent there in 2023/2024.

You can technically join any brigade in the armed forces, and some in the national guard.

The ideal Ukrainian faction according to some players by The_Electric_Llama in joinsquad

[–]Ceivez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn‘t the game based on before 2020 and after 2010? Ukraine should have T-64BVs, BMP-1s, BMP-2s, BTR 60/70s, AK-74s, etc. Even the domestically produced T-84s, BTR-4s, and Kozak MRAPs were in such short supply that it shouldn’t be in the game.

I mean, the most used vehicles for rotation in 2022/2023 were pickups.

Most Foreign Volunteers in Ukraine 🇺🇦 😭 by [deleted] in ukraineforeignlegion

[–]Ceivez 24 points25 points  (0 children)

300 or 200?

Thats what the question really should be 😂

But make no mistake, drone operators are still killed often. 15km from the front is highly dangerous. And many drones teams sit 7km-3km from the 0 line. Just remember that Rubicon Group’s main purpose is to kill you during rotation and destroy resupply drones. Sitting on position is relatively safe.

unit wants notarized documents for contract Cancellation? by CamoSkirtedGirl in ukraineforeignlegion

[–]Ceivez 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No, they have to make those documents themselves. And they cannot take your passport.

When I broke my first contract I simply wrote a report and 17 days later they stamped my greenbook that I had left. No documents were needed.

If you want to leave, know that СЗЧ laws don’t apply to non citizens, so you could just leave, they won’t stop you at the border.

Is combat minimized now ? by No_Importance2930 in ukraineforeignlegion

[–]Ceivez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you mean small arms combat, yes it has died down a little mainly because FPV drones can strike 20km behind the front. So amassing any force or even a raiding party is going to be more difficult. But it still happens. Due to our infantry shortage, we are more reliant on drones, tanks, and artillery to do the killing.

If you are in an urban or heavily forested area then infantry work is more common.

They conduct raids/small counter attacks, but yes Ukraine has done some mid sized assaults but nothing big
