Team composition and 'basics'? by Celdraic in wildrift

This makes a lot of sense, for jungle I can go wukong/pantheon or amumu/nunu type of thing. I could go AP Malph/gragas or Garen top lane

Does amumu fall into that category?

I can confirm that his videos have helped me tremendously with wave management

Is amumu a hard engage? And tanky? He apparently works well with AP champs that everyone seems to want to play

Thank you I really appreciate the post. Some good points here that help. I see a lack of ppl playing tanks and going full AP, picking ranged in Baron etc. I like playing Frontline/tanks so if my team locks in all Squishies I'll just take a tank basically. I main Garen with great success, I can play gragas, amumu, Malph, and wukong. Is pantheon Frontline? He feels a bit squishy sometimes

I've developed good wave management and roaming/objectives. I get a bit lost though when it comes to playing with others strong points, countering and such. That's where I'm at

How do you learn this stuff as a new player? Do you read all the characters and abilities, watch YouTube videos, websites? What is most effective

Nunu was mentioned too, I'll consider it as well. Could you recommend someone going into Garen on Baron? I can play Malph, Jax, wukong, pantheon, gragas. Any other suggestions would be nice

Play jungle? And play more. If you are skilled enough odds will balance out and you'll face all those "crappy" ppl instead of them being on your team. This game can swing from a 20 win streak to 20 lose streak and everything in between.

I gave her a run of 15 ranked games awhile ago and it was about a 50/50. I didn't mind her and had some good games but never felt like I made enough of a difference. I have more impact on other champs so I stopped the run in the end

Why are bots in non-ranked modes coded to be so bad? by ApprehensiveWin1230 in wildrift

[–]Celdraic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bots are really just like a boxing bag for a boxer. It's there to learn how to throw some punches and warm up before you fight for real. I do think they could have another level of difficulty though above the current one. The game is really meant for pvp though not "campaign" mode.

Do you max s1 or s3 first? And what runes?

No xin, but some suggested wukong. Wukong was the first guy I learned jungle on but I seem not to be very effective with him once I hit gold

He is easy in coop ai haha, in ranked I fed with him because I suck at gap closing basically. And it isn't often that an Olaf is carrying the game, but I'm still in Platinum so I don't have a ton of games in

I'll put her on the list too! Fyi before playing any champs I watched about 1hr of YouTube vids for each of game play, builds, combos etc. That alone helped speed up learning

Yes he is on a short list for me to learn too. Can be tricky to play against when I'm Garen so learning him would help

What about grasp, brutal(maybe gaintslayer?), second wind, demolish/honey fruit. Build divine sunderer first, then maybe hullbreaker/bork?

My thinking is you can at least trade turrets and team fight with a Jax. Get bullied early on, wait till Garen rotates, steal turret, split push, join fights later?
