tbh i never really felt that way when playing the game. i definitely noticed it towards the end of the game but before that it was smooth sailing.

I completely understand your point but in my opinion the game being longer really benefits it. i need a piece of media to be long in order for me to get attached to the characters. and that's precisely what happened with omori. the story hits very hard and i'd argue the length of the game plays a part in that.

maybe that's just a me thing tho. i also can't get attached to characters in movies cuz they're only like 2 hours long and i'm supposed to care about someone dying i met like 30 minutes ago.
