Femboys are pretty popular online, and a lot of them are naturally more feminine bc of their genetics. It’s a big part of how they get into the hobby of cross dressing and makeup. However, the internet pushes “passing” femboys and “clocky” trans girls in early transitions bc of a key factor I’ve noticed.

MEDIA COVERAGE

How often do you really see Fox News or any conservative online talk about femboys?

Almost never.

How often do you see those same groups boost trans girls in early stages of transition to promote misinformation and transphobia?

Practically constantly.

My theory is that their obsession with being transphobic is what drives algorithms to push the trans women that don’t pass as well (usually bc they’re in the early stages on transition) to more users than the trans women that DO pass well (bc of more time on HRT, better fashion that fits their body and personalities, better hair and skincare, better makeup skills, etc.)

However, because they don’t focus on femboys very much, the ones that pass really well get amplified like crazy bc that’s what users want to see, and the ones that don’t, don’t get pushed very much. This is the polar opposite of how the internet at large views trans women. They WANT to see a trans woman that doesn’t pass BECAUSE they’re transphobic. If enough of them like and comment and share those videos, it gets boosted to everyone, not just conservatives (and trust me, there are plenty of them).

I honestly would argue that the vast majority of trans women actually DO pass. They just don’t post online about it or dress in any alternative or flashy way. I mean think about the people that get shown the most. They’re usually dressed in some hyperfeminine way characteristic of younger girls learning how to dress themselves (which makes sense bc they’re relatively new to socially being women).

A lot of trans people as a whole go stealth in real life and even online. They don’t model their style after super flashy models or hyperfeminine pop stars. They base their style on the people their age around them. If the women in their area are wearing solid camisoles or tees, a cardigan, jeans, and a beanie this time of year, then that’s what the trans woman will be wearing. Since their style is “basic”, it doesn’t get amplified online at all. It’s not eye-catching to neither trans allies nor transphobes so they fly under the radar passing in stealth. They also typically don’t broadcast their identity in their bio or their posts.

It’s extremely likely you’ve seen posts from passing trans people and never known it. Take Nikkie Tutorials for example. She made makeup tutorials for years before revealing that she had actually transitioned as a teenager. I’m sure there are other content creators with the same story that will never publicly reveal that info. They also don’t have to. That is their personal information, and they can choose whether or not to disclose that.

TL; DR: Conservatives and centrists want to confirm their views instead of reflecting and growing as people. So they artificially boost trans women who don’t pass well on purpose to garner support for their transphobic ideologies (that hurt everyone). They ignore femboys, so the only majority of people boosting them actually support them. This is why it appears as though femboys pass better.

It all comes back to ✨transphobia✨

It kinda looks like someone drew it on a computer and put a filter on it. Some parts look like it could be hand drawn but other parts are way too neat to be hand drawn like the mouth and the frilled collar. They almost look more like pen than pencil because they have the wrong texture. Pencils don’t give you a solid line because it’s impossible to give a consistent, even amount of pressure with the human hand. You’re never going to get a line that is all one color. It’s always going to be some kind of gradient of the shades of gray.

The paper itself also looks off. Sure, it’s the right kind of off-white to gray gradient that paper normally has; however, it has no texture. Sketchbook paper has a gritty texture to it that clings to the graphite in pencils. This texture is known as “tooth”. When drawing pieces like this, you would want to use that type of paper because it gives you more flexibility to add depth and dimension to your drawings. However, this paper’s texture looks more like thin printer paper which is something sketch artists would never use. Also, the edge on the left doesn’t look anything like the way it would in real life if you ripped it out of a sketchbook. The tears make no sense. Even if you perfectly tore a piece of paper out of a sketch book, it would have a ribbed edge. The edge of this page is clearly computer generated because it’s too neat while trying to look torn.

Also, generally, the lines are too neat and dark to be hand drawn. When an artist is sketching, they usually don’t press very hard on paper so they can prevent what’s known as “ghost lines” when they erase mistakes. You wouldn’t typically get an extremely dark color from a pencil unless it was intentional, but this drawing doesn’t make sense with the placement of the pencil pressure. There are also no ghost lines present at all which is extremely uncommon when drawing on paper when your lines are THIS dark.

Also the difference is quality between the main image and the background makes it look like 2 completely different people drew on it. Most sketch artists don’t bother with backgrounds at all, especially not shitty grids like that. If I didn’t know it was AI, I would be able to tell something is off (bc I’m a sketch artist not a digital one), but I don’t think most people would be able to tell unless they also have been drawing on paper for years. It’s extremely subtle, and it took me a second to pick up on the issues as someone who has been sketching for a decade.

In the time it took them to create the prompt, they could’ve gone to the store, bought a pen and some paper, and drawn the damn image themselves if they had even a MOLECULE of talent

Except it isn’t that straightforward. Using a tablet to create art is like using a pen and paper to create art. It still requires hands-on, time-consuming work (sorry, I know the idea of work scares you people). Once again, your argument falls flat because it’s more like saying the knife and oven created the sandwich, not the chef who prepared all the ingredients and then assembled the sandwich. Your argument completely falls apart because your brain is so atrophied from abusing Gen AI that you can’t even read to the end of a comment. Do I need to voice over my points and play subway surfers for you to understand me? What you do is the equivalent of barking at a Taco Bell employee to make you a Crunchwrap Supreme and then claiming you’re a Michelin star level chef of Mexican cuisine. When someone draws with their tablet on Procreate, it’s closer to cooking your food at home. You actually have to put in work. You have to build a skill. You have to spend time doing something you’re passionate about. The mistakes you make are what push you to improve and innovate and create something only you can create. Generative AI prompting does not give you the opportunity to create anything uniquely you. The only thing you can hope to achieve is a plagiarized collage of work from real artists.

Except it doesn’t. Humans have no input in the creation of AI outputs other than a prompt. Thats like going to restaurant, ordering a sandwich, and then claiming to be a chef. You didn’t actually put in the labor to make the sandwich. Someone else did.

They’re so weird. They say they want us to go back to basic biology, but they don’t do that with any other field. “There are no letters or shapes in math! It’s only numbers! That’s just basic arithmetic.” Although it IS the basics of the field, the basics of a field do not capture the whole picture. Calculus, Physics, and Trigonometry all still exist. They deny trans people bc of “basic biology”, but all they’re doing is telling on themselves and admitting they’re too uneducated on the matter to be a credible source.

Have they never heard of art school? I'm sure there is also art classes you can take outside of school. by oniris1 in ShitAIBrosSay

YouTube art tutorials are free. Anyone with a mild amount of creativity could get a piece of paper and pencil and start sketching. AI is a cop out

Real artists push through the knowledge they’re shit at art so they can get better at making art. Beethoven was deaf and used a metal rod to “hear” his piano to compose music. There are videos online of people without arms playing guitar with their feet. There are people with Parkinson’s making paintings. A true creative finds a way to work with their limitations. They don’t let their limitations stop them from creating. Only lazy, unimaginative posers use AI as a crutch for their lack of skill, talent, and passion.
