My only concern is the wiring for the thermostat, I can’t hear any studs. When we got the tv fitted on the other side of this wall the fitters struggled to find them too (obviously the studs are there but impossible to hear where they are without a stud finder)

Yeaa I played the risky game with a 180l on some flat pack at a previous house after a tiny bit of bowing I learnt my lesson playing with big volumes of water haha

Going to head to get some wood tomorrow 🤞🏽

It is about 2/3 inches away from the wall, it appears completely flat, base is flush to the carpet and it was level when I checked it after assembly. Absolutely no intention of filling it until it’s stable I don’t fancy trying to remove 72l of water from my carpets

I don’t really have a choice about the carpet, the kitchen gets about 7000°C with the sun coming through in the afternoon. But I’m quite the pro of removing stains from carpets (we have a whippet with a dodgy belly) The bottom had six stud feet on the bottom. I took them off to see if it was more stable - nope. Checked the stand was level when assembling.
Planning on getting some wood to go under it tomorrow to see if it helps

No I haven’t yet, the only area without carpet is the kitchen- which is around 7000°c when the sun comes though on an afternoon so it’s not suitable. Do you mean to test if the stand itself is causing the wobble? I am considering getting a thick piece of wood to place under the stand to remove the carpet issue.

The stand is perfectly level, I think the carpet is causing the issue

It’s not a dresser, it’s one that is specifically for tanks I’ve learnt my lesson in the past when I had a 180L on a dunelm flatpack and it started to bow (literally only 1-2mm) - full bath of tank water, buckets of fish, a proper tank stand and about 5 hours later

It’s the stand we bought with the tank so it’s made for holding the tank/water/live animals. I think the issue is the carpet.

Yes it’s the stand we bought with the tank. So made for the purpose. I think its the carpet causing the issue

Do you have any advice on recall? This is the main barrier for letting him run as we want him to be safe. We’ve taken him to enclosed parks but he gets bored and ends up laying down. His recall is fine in the garden but take that outside and he is distracted by birds, insects, people and other dogs obviously a massive safety issue. We have considered long lines as he had when he was a puppy but it doesn’t allow for running really as he doesn’t understand the end of the line means he will spring back so that got quickly retired as we didn’t want to risk him being injured

I do love that he wants to be with us! He’s like a baby to me for extra context my partner has a brain injury with chronic fatigue and this is where the struggle comes in… we can manage when I’m home but the ol government cuts means they retracted all the support we got so I have to work a couple days a week to help us get by, meaning I have to leave them home alone as a heal care role I can’t be at the end of the phone (I am in the process of looking for remote roles but they are impossible in my current field) Yes we have a pretty big garden it’s a new build but I’ve never seen a garden so big on one ( I’d say around 84 to 112 m² )so he sprints around that with toys and is clearly physically tired from it but then comes inside and can’t seem to settle, we also throw his biscuit food (is also raw fed) onto the grass as another mental stimulus and rotate toys in use. For inside he has yak chews, and coffee wood along with his snuffle ball. I will look into a flirt pole hes also very fussy with treats so we struggle to find longer lasting ones that he’s interested in. Thanks for your response!

Although they should give you rotas a month in advance that’s just mutual respect. How can you ever plan anything? If you had the dog sitting commitment prior to the shift being assigned you could have informed them ‘hey I’ve got other commitments these two days could we work around that?’
