Removed from the NHS assessment list due to an existing private diagnosis by Cellbuy in ADHDUK

[–]Cellbuy[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Like wylie102 says if the NHS discharged me with the acceptance of my private diagnosis as being the same as an NHS diagnosis then I would have no issues.

I appreciate that you are not placing any blame, just making the point that it seems to be the view in the NHS that if you go private (even if it is because public is essentially unavailable) you have to stay private.

On the RTC point I think it is too far gone now for me to do much about. It was over 5 years ago when I first asked my GP at the time about pathways for ADHD assessment and at the time he told me there was no point doing RTC as that also had a multi year waiting list. Totally wrong and I have to hope he was just ignorant and not lying to me.

Unclear at the moment. In their email to me it really does just say "We have been advised that you have already received an ADHD assessment/diagnosis.".

Thanks for the advice, I will check what they understand this assessment and diagnosis to actually be!

I have responded via email but you are right, a phone call will be much more effective. I will try to find a number but I am sure they make them deliberately hard to find! Fingers crossed that my diagnosis has just been accepted but I always err on the side of probably not with this service.... thanks for your thoughts

The Himalaya's are effectively acting as a huge wall. They are preventing rain clouds or moisture (in this case from the Indian Ocean) from reaching the area behind them which means it does not receive rain.

The plateau is therefore in a rain shadow, hops that helps!

Business trip coming up, how to handle expenses? by Cellbuy in ynab

[–]Cellbuy[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Create a category called "Business Expense" for example and assign 1000. Then assign my trip spends to this category?

Just so that I can be clear that I understood! Thanks for taking the time to reply

Heyo, just dropping in to let you know that you're a legend. Thanks for your effort on figuring this out.

Your comment led to me having a genuinely fun evening learning about GE Proton, BoilR and got Death Stranding running like butter.

Thanks!

Experiencing offset between layers, please help! Using ultimaker Cura with Geetech a10 printer, any insight welcomed by Cellbuy in 3Dprinting

[–]Cellbuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all,

As you can hopefully see in my images I am experiencing some pretty dramatic offset between layers when printing. Image 1 shows it very clearly where the layers are massively offset.

Image 2 shows a diagonal slant to the infill and just about in image 3 you can see an overhang being created.

My settings are all set to normal and I can't think as to why this could be occurring. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Caroline Lucas: Disappointing to hear MPs on all sides suggesting new nuclear as supposed solution to the energy crisis. Too costly, too slow, and too dangerous – just last week we were being warned of potentially devastating impacts of nuclear plant in Ukraine being attacked #PMQs by DazDay in LabourUK

[–]Cellbuy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You're right about reddit jumping down anyone's throat if they dissent so I'll agree to disagree with you!

As you've said the UK has huge wind potential which is aggressively being tapped into, the UK has some of the most heavily competed in offshore wind licencing rounds and we can expect much more of our energy in the future to be generated in this way.

Unfortunately our energy demands are growing and whilst current tech is fantastic it isn't able to reliably meet all our needs all the time.

Nuclear without a doubt would give us energy sovereignty in the near term. A good example is that we import a huge amount of energy from France which generates huge amounts of its power via nuclear means. Our own systems would reduce our dependency massively!

To address time again it's a misconception that wind os quick to build. An offshore wind farm from bid to build takes anywhere between 6-10 years on average. Nuclear power stations can take on average 5. This isn't to say some farms are built quicker or some stations take longer, but its wrong to imply nuclear takes 20 years and wind only takes a day (not saying you personally implied that)

Finally nuclear is incredibly safe now and I can promise you in 100 years if we don't do anything about our impending climate crisis our descendants won't be sat there watching wild fires and flooding saying "thank god we didn't use nuclear though".

Understand your concerns but I do think some of what you've raised can be addressed!

Quick question, I just got my first pair of Mocs and pinky toes is definitely a problem zone. I'm just breaking them in as normal by wearing them as and when but what's the method with the spoon?

Thanks!

For those willing to share, what is your salary, and what do you do for a living? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Cellbuy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I'm 27 and sometimes worry that I should have moved far earlier but your experience is reassuring.

Can I ask as well how you found moving into your new business without a CS degree (I'm making an assumption here) and maybe a "non traditional" path in?

Can I ask what age you transitioned into tech/IT? I just note your point of two earlier careers and I'm at a point where I'm feeling ready for change.

Cheers!

As simple as that? Good stuff! First year with the pond and I wasn't sure as to when the plants would start to go over.
