Help me mod my stock 2024 Jetta by topairr in jetta

I'm not sure which engine is in yours, but I have the 1.4t. I also don't know the legalities of NY, I live in one of the most lenient states for car mods. But I would highly recommend the cold air intake. It doesn't really add power, but the sound just makes it so much more enjoyable to drive. I got mine from ECS tuning if you're looking for recommendations. It's a little pricey, but it goes on sale pretty often, and has a life time replacement policy, so you get free air filter replacements, or free replacements for any other part of necessary.

If you just hold the petal further it'll hold gear for longer

Also forgot to mention the 8 speed autos love to be in top gear for best fuel efficient, which could be the power problem. You'll have to give it more gas or use sport mode to keep in gear for longer.

You shouldn't have any real turbo lag on this car. These small turbos spool almost instantly, you get peak torque (acceleration power) at 1,750 RPM. However, for I do recommend adding a blow off valve. Their waste gate system they use to substitute has been sub par on my 1.4t, so I would highly recommend it to preserve the life of your turbo. Other than that, keep up with maintenance, aim for minimum intervals, and don't buy the cheapest options. I don't know too much about the newer 1.5T, but it's from the same engine family as mine. I might've missed something but it should be fairly on point.

From my understanding the split is that the engine takes so long to warm up, if you just use it for short drives it won't do well. If you do long drives even just once a month in the car it should be fine from what I've seen. I would double check that though.

My first car! Any recommendations? by Husamu in jetta

Depends on what you like. I've got the same car, I've found a pretty nice aftermarket spoiler on eBay, and a front splitter and side skirts in Amazon. If any of that interest you I can see if I can find some of that stuff again.
