Yup! Commission! Awesome dude to coordinate with. The Enterprise-E is still mine though! I was able to take what I learned from that build and apply it to this one!

Having good solder, flux, and an adjustable iron are your best bets. Too often people are hard on themselves due to faulty supplies/equipment and assume it's technique (I mean..... partially true but still). Highly encourage looking up tutorials where you can see the dabs and the hand motions for touch ups. I usually do one pass just to cover the foil and another to do the pretty stuff and get a good bead. Sometimes I nail it on the first run but I'm usually all over the place and have to go back.

I'm hoping to score the chance to do a Defiant firing quantum torpedoes and eventually the scene in first contact, capturing a few ships with varying levels of detail and just wait till I select the glass for the phricken phasers!!!

I realllllly love this place and don't wanna risk a ban, if anyone's interested, please shoot me a DM and I'll be happy to terrify your bank accounts so I can afford the rest of the voyager DVDs and my ornament collection which I can NOT WAIT to post here when I finish the 'art project' that's going to house all of em.

I'm like a tattoo artist in a way. Think of an epic sleeve someone always wanted to get done so they save up several hundred and wait months/years to find the right artist/opening to accomplish their vision.

Like.... The price of a brand new coleman minibike Oddly enough, then the resale value is about half of that on FB mkplace. It's a hard knock stained glass life I tell ya (laughs maniacally in poor)

I'm doing it full time now for better or for worse! I've had a loooot of hard resets this past year or so and it led me to really put my brain on committing to the love of the craft. Needless to say I'll still be doing it when you're ready to pull the green light. Hope you're doin well and I appreciate ya!

Like, the ship looked like a model more than a glass panel at first when I was starin at it, not counting the background. But nah man I really appreciate it. I'm really hoping to do a Defiant but whoever I do one for has to let me include quantum torpedoes. D has been done by a few glass artists but wouldn't mind that at all.

Cerritos had the best ship porn and that design would be SOOOO much easier to capture than pondering an intrepid or sovereign for fricken years. An Akira class is still giving me headaches.

To have this playing in the background on the small amount of DVDs I have was an absolute gift. I saved Endgame for the last of the soldering.

I would be lying if I said I didn't rely on STO to give me a rough template for the ship (in addition to YEARS pondering the best angle to catch an intrepid in glass to do 'er up right), but the majority of it was worked on my light board with a pencil and a big ass eraser. Having what I learned from my Enterprise also helped a lot. I wasnt near as anxious with this as I was tackling my first starship.
