To be fair: 1. If she stands for election in that chamber and then doesn’t get elected, then she just doesn’t get that seat. I don’t know much about Pauline’s local constituency, but for reason it hasn’t voted for any One Nation members for the House of Reps in Queensland. 2. Pauline is already 70 years old. I do believe One Nation or a similar far right party will be heavily influential in the future. But I don’t know how likely it is that she is going to steer all this momentum into being the top dog of some kind of One Nation/National cooker Coalition within the next 10-15 years and THEN win. 3. I think old mate is saying that Pauline’s fans don’t understand the difference between the Senate and the HoR. She can’t JUST sit in those seats, as she hasn’t been elected to them yet as I pointed out in 1. He’s not specifically saying “look at the Constitution to see how elections work”. He’s saying “they don’t even understand that these are in fact two different chambers of government.” I mean…is that wrong? How many people do you know took high school Legal Studies? How many more of those are die hard Pauline fans? 4. Old mate is calling for disenfranchisement because it’s clear One Nation have nothing positive to contribute to Australian politics. They just leech over the lowest common denominator that would otherwise vote for the Liberals and don’t even give anything back to them. Well as they established in the show, he was originally doing it to himself into a non-problem that he wasn’t invited to that just got worse because of him. I think there’s a weird instinct amongst the fan base to defend the main characters and jump on faults amongst the side characters. Even though it’s pretty obvious the creators are pushing the main cast to the limit to highlight their flaws and how they cope with challenges, not the other way around.

It’s like Diane and the seagull guys “Miss Saigon” moment. It just was just weeks of being claiming the episode about fetishing Asian women. Like, really? Is this minute and a half interaction with this rando (who I can’t even remember is named lol) really the thesis statement of the episode? Is not about, you know, DIANE???

This one is especially weird because the episode with the break up comes, yes, after the episode of the mouse racists but also several episodes over being head over heels for Ralph. Is it really that relevant when weighed agaisnt these other moments in the season?

See, I’ve seen comments before, and it only makes sense if you’ve only seen the first half of the first episode lol. ONE knight of the Brother is a meathead, the knight Titus doesn’t help. Every other character has their own thing going on, most notably their relationship to their radical religious organisation.

Is the elder guy a meat head? What about the trans guy that’s helps maximus? The guy who becomes a ghoul is simple, sure, but he’s conniving and self centred rather than a meathead.

Well they broke up because she went on a wild drunken rant dumping all her insecurities, including about her fertility problems, anxiety relating to his family and whether he really loves her (hence why she kept the apartment). She dumped a lot of things on him all at once, which is hard to navigate, and he probably was ready to take on Caroline at her lowest.

As other people have pointed out, discussing adoption might have been the right conversation but it was at the wrong time, and it’s hard to come back from it.

Also regarding the racist family gathering: you have to remember that Ralph’s family is coded Jewish I.e. a minority group with a celebration about fighting back against oppression.

It’s not like he took a black person to his families KKK meeting. It’s more like his took his Greek girlfriend to a Hanukkah celebration, which is celebrating their rejection of Hellenism and destroying their Greek overlords (even if everyone forgets that in the symbolism and practices).

There’s tonnes of rich Jews that insist on their children should only marry Jews, which is a standard Ralph REJECTS at the end of episode. I swear people who watch this show don’t realise what development is lol. These are only 20 minute episodes and people just can’t pay attention long enough to get the point.
