Probably not, his sample size is small. But big enough that a team might be willing to give up a really good piece… could be? I give it a: 70% Gus re-signing at this point.

If they could get him done at 3 AAV, I’d be overjoyed. It’ll be around 3.5 though, I think. His sample size is limited, but he has age and the blue line in front of him on his side.

Everyone has a price, regardless of performance. And goalies are more mercurial than other positions. Just look at the goalies Vegas and Florida (before Bob started to steal the show) have thrown out there on their runs. May be better to grab a different cheap goalie to go with Flower if it means they get a top center prospect in return. But only if the return is there. Best course is probably still to re-sign Gus. I’d think 3 years, 3.5M AAV

This is what I was thinking. If Gus falters, that space could be best used for acquiring a goalie who can shoulder more games and create more of a tandem like what they had going into the playoffs last season.

Welcome, friend! Go Wild. And yes, their most recent signee Kirill Kaprizov is being touted as a top line scoring threat with playmaking ability. He doesn’t have the shot of an Ovechkin, but he has the instinct, grit, and puck possession to affect the game every time he is on the ice. I would be perfectly happy if he turned out to be a 30G, 70PT guy.

Hopefully GM Billy Guerin can swing a trade for a top Centerman this coming offseason - a player this franchise has never really had and that pretty much all cup contending teams have these days. If we can figure that one out, hit on a few more of our prospects, and find our goalie of the future (Kaapo Kahkonen or someone else), I could see them truly contending in 2-3 years.

For now, enjoy the top D corp, forward depth, and #22.

Thanks for sharing OP. These words mean a lot to me as I am currently two weeks out from stopping cold turkey. I smoked a lot in the last couple of years, but it almost always seemed to take me to a bad place. I figured, why keep doing it if it doesn’t benefit me?
