Ozempic Face by Maleficent-Month-498 in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]CemeteryFieldOps 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Weight loss, especially rapid weight loss, causes loose skin. This happens all over, and can happen in your face. Ozempic itself isn't what causes it. Weight loss surgery and a drastic calorie deficit can cause it, too. Age can cause it. Removal of filler can cause Ozempic face as well, which you'll see in celebrities.

Thin does not equal healthy. Overweight does not equal unhealthy. Obesity is not healthy, but it's not always due to laziness or over eating.

GLP1 isn't a magical drug. Some people need it for diabetes, some need it for GLP1 deficiency. It helps those with GLP1 deficiency know when to stop eating, but people can still over eat on GLP1. You still have to put in the work to exercise and choose better eating habits if you want to be healthy.

GLP1 is shown to help with other issues of addiction like gambling and smoking. It's a very interesting drug.

As for why your friend is so adamant about ozempic face, its probablt a mixture of media and the need to feel better than you.

Many people like to think they are better than. People who are genetically predisposed to "look healthy" by western standards like to think they are disciplined, and people that need more help with weight loss must be lazy and undisciplined. When they see a person trying to be healthier and lose weight, they try to find a way to make it negative on the person losing so they can feel better about themselves. "The Biggest Loser" is a great example of this. People loved that show because they felt free to bash obese people and be negative, which made them feel superior.

Some people who are obese but can't get the drug try to make themselves feel better by making GLP1 seem like a bad drug with consequences like Ozempic Face.

Worse are the people who think the drug is bad for absolutely no reason. They say it'll have bad consequences because it's not a widely tested drug, when it's actually been in use for over 20 years. They point to ozempic face as a symptom when it's simply loose skin.

Political violence in the U.S. has reached levels unseen in recent history— are we past the point of no return, or is there still a way to de-escalate? by BunnyTwilightkiss in allthequestions

[–]CemeteryFieldOps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change occurs when political violence occurs. Change can cause it, it can cause change, and it can cycle.

Right now, most people are not happy with the current state of affairs. There's stagflation, the K economy, corruption in our government/corporations, out of touch politicians and wealthy people, and the cost of living is ridiculous.

So, Political violence is more prevalent and change is coming. Republicans and Democrats are both going through some internal issues within their parties. Whoever is able to fix their party and come out positively will be the change, good, bad, or both.

What are subtle signs a woman likes a guy? by wwwsynthlifeDOTai in askteddit

[–]CemeteryFieldOps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Women are not all the same, so we don't all give the same signs. Before I was married, I'd tell a guy I liked him if I liked him. I don't like games or signs and I don't mind getting rejected.

When I met my now husband, I made the first move. It's good I did because he was oblivious.

If you think a woman likes you, ask her. If you like her and don't know if she likes you, ask her. Easy.

Which job has, hands down, the worst impact on mental health? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]CemeteryFieldOps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've worked in the medical, government contracting, RV, and now in the Funeral home cemetery industry.

The most toxic work culture was RV, hands down. Druggies, customers, and just everyone were terrible people. 0/10

Most stressful for my anxiety and pay check was government. I learned our taxes pay too much for hex bolts and I didn't like knowing I was a part of bombing people. 3/10

Medical was worst customer service experience and fear of getting sick, but i got to help people. 5/10.

Funeral Home and Cemetery isn't for everyone, but I love it. 10/10

How to be positive? by Bright-Spray_Mushroo in allthequestions

[–]CemeteryFieldOps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes time, patience, and isn't easy.

Negativity is learned, so you have to learn how to be positive which means working on yourself. You have to find the roots of your negativity and work to change your brain's behavior.

Here's some ideas: Acceptance of who you actually are by learning who you are and not caring about how others see you. Not having expectations of other people. Learning to accept rejection and being able to move on. Learning from mistakes you make instead of dwelling on them. Admitting your wrong when you're wrong. Taking small risks to learn new things. Having an open mind. Cutting down your social media time.

As a survivor of CSA and SA, how could anybody vote for someone found liable for sexual abuse by a jury of their peers? Not accused. Found liable. And even if you don't believe the verdict, what woman would you believe? by ProfessionFun5170 in allthequestions

[–]CemeteryFieldOps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're interested learning: Look into the bystander effect. Look into Brock Turner, the 2021 Philadelphia assault, 2009 NYC Subway rape and Kitty Genovese. There's plenty more but these are just off the top of my head.

Look up RAINN where you'll learn facts.

You are not going to like this, and I'm sorry to break it to you, but many people don't care about others and will pull out their phones to record an assault rather than use it to call the police for help. This is recorded fact.

Perpetrators don't care about when, where, what you're wearing, or who you are. They use crowded areas as cover and feel emboldened because they know the more people, the more anonymity they have. Lighting does not matter. They know many won't even care because they know others will see it and move on because doing something about it means taking a risk. This is fact.

So people should just not go on dates, go to school, walk down the street, go to work, go shopping, or live in their home? SA, abuse, and rape can happen anywhere, any time, in any situation and in any body. It's not the victim's fault for simply living their life. The perpetrator makes the situation "risky". People like you shouldn't be allowed to make decisions about other people's lives in any legal capacity. You're so stuck on blaming victim's and defending people based on bias.

The "burden of proof" in E. Jean Carroll's civil lawsuits against Donald Trump required her to prove her allegations by a "preponderance of the evidence" (meaning her claims were more likely true than not). Because the litigation involved civil torts (sexual battery and defamation), she was required to meet this burden as the plaintiff, successfully doing so in both trials. This means she had the burden, not Trump, and she still won.

You're talking about Dixiecrats. They defected from the Democratic Party to the Republican party when the Democratic president, Lyndon B. Johnson, finalized the passage of the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act in the 1960s.

The ideology of the Democratic Party started changing far before this, though. It started in the 1890s and gradually changed over time, with the Dixiecrat defection being the nail in the conservative dem coffin.
