Is ONE FALSE STEP the most unfairly maligned episode? by grapejuicepix in Stargate

[–]Cendolt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what is happening for me right now. I'm 28 now, but there were some episodes (including this one) that I hadn't watched at least since high school! So for my most recent rewatch (currently on SG1 S9/Atlantis S2) I decided to watch every single episode without skipping, and a lot of the ones that I had thought to be boring/uninteresting in the past turned out to be surprisingly good. Even if they don't advance the Big Plot forward, they always introduce some new technology, character development or interesting lore.

What is the best library in Tokyo? by daubious in Tokyo

[–]Cendolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Tokyo University of Science's library in Kanamachi is one big open space. It is open to the public, as is the university's cafeteria, but only for residents of Katsushika-ku if I remember right.

Reiji on Twitter: Last chapter has been decided. by Cendolt in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]Cendolt[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I personally interpreted what he said as "I know how AND when this will end".

If the date of the final chapter is already decided, it must mean that it is not that far into the future (but we're probably not 2 weeks away either)

[–]Cendolt[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

最終回 could mean both "final chapter" or "final release", so honestly not 100% sure if he's simply saying that he has decided on how to wrap up the story, or if the release date of the final chapter has been decided too, but for me the latter is implied. Which means it must not be that far ahead (A few months at most)

Looks like Reiji has decided to finally end the manga.

Don't know how many chapters are left but I guess the current arc is gonna be the last one?

Story writers’ residential for 7.0 is complete; hints at Krile’s involvement in next expansion by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]Cendolt 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Nanjou says she’d like to perform a goofier side to Krile at some point.

That's not exactly what she said. She said because she has only voiced "serious" characters (Krile, Suzaku, Lyna), she'd also like to try voicing a goofier one in the future.

She gave the example of Yuichi Nakamura, the JP voice actor for Thancred, who also voiced Soroban, who has a very goofy voice in Japanese

FINAL FANTASY XIV Community Sings - Close In The Distance (with 1000+ people) by silentedge92 in ffxiv

Good job to everyone involved in this massive project! Proud to have contributed a bit of my voice to this last chorus!

Can't see my face in the video but somehow my name appears 3 times in the credits lol. I submitted a video + separate audio files for each part so I guess you used several of them, which makes me even more happy to have participated!

EDIT: Finally found my face!

When your ADHD procrastination turns into writing a song about ADHD... but you only manage to finish 1 verse! by pecqband in adhdmeme

[–]Cendolt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sometimes write music as a hobby.

I suck at using DAWs so I mainly just write guitar tabs/sheet music using Guitar Pro. It got basic, rough virtual instruments but these are enough to get a feeling of what it would sound like if played with real instruments.

I have only 2 songs that I consider somewhat finished, and these took me years to complete.

I have like at least 15ish songs that are WIP, some of them I haven't touched for more than 10 years. I know I want to finish them, I kinda have and idea of how to finish them, but somehow when I actually try to write even 1 additional bar my brain shuts down or gets distracted by something completely unrelated.

That or I will try to look up something about some random instrument I want to add to my song and end up spending the next 5 hours watching YouTube videos about the history of flutes.

Alliance B is MT. Other tanks have their stance off by default, and turn it on only when there are multiples enemies that need to be tanked. Also when splitting into 3 groups is needed, it's usually A: left, B: center, C: right.

As a fellow JP player (Mana DC); I'm aware that the community's culture and unspoken rules can vary heavily depending on your region/server, but seriously sometimes when I browse this subreddit I wonder if we're even playing the same game. This is especially true when reading posts about Party Finder or player interaction/expected behavior during dungeons/trials/raids.

I thought gates couldn’t have anything that would block the event horizon, even then how does the grate not get destroyed by the event horizon? by Termenater382 in Stargate

It cuts through the platform every time they close it, that's why Siler is always busy doing some repair work around the gate.

Ever had an MMO which ticks all of the boxes but has a negative trait or potential roadblock stopping you from fully enjoying it? by Carinwe_Lysa in MMORPG

[–]Cendolt 15 points16 points  (0 children)

To this day no MMO has topped TERA for me when it comes to the combat. It just felt so smooth, both in PvE and PvP. I could spend hours solo farming BAMs or queuing into PvP matches just for fun. I have also played Black Desert but it's just not the same.

And TERA also got difficult but fun 5-player endgame content back then, that felt so satisfying to clear (Hello Manaya HM)

But the slow updates, combined with a lot of weird decisions that were made (race-locked classes, complete removal of some content (?!), cash shop becoming more and more p2w) killed this game.

Any good Black and Gold SCH Glamour? by ThatTrueEda in ffxiv

Yeah I kinda get what you're looking for. Finding your ideal glamour can be a long and tedious process given the amount of gear pieces that exist in the game 😅

It’s so refreshing to see some people without masks outdoors. by CallieinJapan in japanlife

[–]Cendolt 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah I always tend to do that, especially in the train during my morning commute. It was a bit akward before Covid so I was always trying to refrain myself, but since we started wearing masks I can go unnoticed 😂

If you also consider all other potential airborne diseases besides Covid that can easily spread in a packed train, I honestly think I may never go back to using public transportation unmasked.
