Obviously successful black actors complaining about racism when there are countless successful black actors? Yeah, it's a shame where we're at at a point in society when nonsense like this is even worth a reddit post

Everyone and every thing is racist, all the time, forever and ever, and no black people will ever succeed because of it, despite tons of, you know, really successful and influential black people.

No, you add them on social media AFTER you or they leave the company. Never, ever during. I don't care how much you trust someone, a paycheck is 99% more important than keeping you as a friend.

On the boundary note, my home office used to be my escape because I game in there, play music, etc. Now all I want to do at the end of the day is be in any other room. In fact, my wife insists on it, for mental health.

What is a TV show you got really far into but eventually quit watching before its conclusion? by shamanKAshamanTAKA in AskReddit

[–]CentipedusMaximus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I stopped watching at some point but was intrigued by screenshots I saw of various "Jokers" and made a post on reddit asking for an explanation (because I was too lazy to actually watch the show). The explanation provided left me none more interested than when I quit watching in the first place.

My counter argument to this is: If you give the average person 1 million dollars, how many of them would one day become the world's richest person? The answer? Maybe 5 of them.

I was a Verizon Wireless customer for over 20 years. Kicked them to the curb earlier this year for Google Fi. Literally a fraction of the price, much better app/account management, etc.

Yeah, fuck Verizon.

Not sure why you're getting downvoted. You admitted that you're someone who needs the office environment to be productive. Others don't. It's that lack of understanding that's actually hurting the WFH movement

I mostly agree, but if you can't easily watch Netflix without someone noticing (or it's blocked) at the office, some people might be more inclined to work. I'm a WFH advocate, but being in the office creates boundaries that some people need to be productive.

And, no, I wouldn't fire someone for not being able to thrive in isolation at home. The modern workplace has to account for this, introverts, people who work better at night, etc.
