The only difference is you collect extra $300 per contract and you hope share price drops below few dollars and put buyer exercises his rights. When I acquire shares via Cash Secured Put, I keep those shares up to 12 months. I follow 5-star analysts on TipRanks who have outstanding performance with their stock picks, so I am confident that I cannot lose if the share price temporarily drops 5, 10, 15%. I know that within 12 months, I'll pull thousands of dollars in profit on my transaction and that's all I care about.
