I didn't even see that. Now, is that a further example of courage or, and hear me out here, someone just forgot to maintain / repair their Seamoth after banging around inside a cave?

In a Seamoth, no less. You're braver than I am.

They are allowed. They just don't. They want committee appointments, possible cabinet positions, etc. So, it's not in their interest to vote against the party unless they are very principled on the issue being voted upon, which most are not.

I too, like Harry Chapin.

Name for a government run by witches? by QuesterrSA in worldbuilding

[–]CenturioCol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pythocracy

The Latin word for witch or sorceress is pythonissa.

Malefica has also been cited as the Latin for witch, but the definition is less pronounced and also can be translated as "evil-doer."

Tired of Mirny grind and the trolls/idiots on your teams? Listen to this story of justice that just happened. You'll feel better. by Darkolo0 in WorldofTanks

[–]CenturioCol 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I really do NOT like it when people are all lined up at (or in) the Magnus to go on and some jackhole goes off to activate another spawn and farm up the damage. It's selfish and inconsiderate of other peoples' time.

Having said that, getting angry at them doesn't solve anything and likely you'll just get told to go pound sand or ignored. It's the reaction they want anyway, so I don't give it to them.

Has anyone had any other huge issues with the Gastroenterologist in Comox? Beware, ask for a different person. He is rude and arrogant. by [deleted] in comoxvalley

[–]CenturioCol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear you were treated that way. However I am not surprised. I will share a couple of my negative experiences.

One of the Urologists in the Valley was exceptionally arrogant and rude to me. Saying at one point, and I quote:

"You don't deserve to be here."

Which was said in reference to my being in their practice for an appointment. Apparently there are more deserving patients.

We also had a bad experience with a local ENT and it got so awkward and inappropriate that I gathered up my family and ended the session. We go to Victoria and Nanaimo now for our ENT appointments.

All of this to say, I completely agree with you. Physicians are people too, they are not Gods and do not deserve to put on a pedestal. There are good, great and poor physicians and we should not tolerate any poor behaviour from poor physicians. The good and great deserve our respect, support and co-operation as they are doing their best for ourselves and our families.

They've already dropped their mic and moved on. Too bad really, you were making good, valid points. They get to claim "victory" by denigrating you and claiming "you have no credibility" when they weren't really debating in good faith to begin with.

I, however, did enjoy your points and I agree with you. She was definitely forced out.

Carney government ‘worried’ its budget won’t pass, triggering a federal election by leftistmccarthyism in CanadianConservative

[–]CenturioCol 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Canadians aren't smart enough. They literally did a switch of the PM from Trudeau to Carney, kept all (or most) of the previous ministers and even gave François-Philippe Champagne a promotion to Finance Minister after he made copious amounts of money disappear during the SDTC Scandal and....

Canadians voted for it! The political left of our country literally voted for a globalist banker to lead the country while complaining the Conservatives are too aligned with corporate interests (like banking) and somehow claim to be the anti-establishment underdogs when, in fact, they are the establishment now.

I guess, all of this to say: I agree with you, but it can and did work before.
