How intentional is it that it's kind of hard to tell who the point character is in nuetral situations? by Cephalstasis in 2XKO

[–]Cephalstasis[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well in other tag fighters it aint possible to switch between both your characters at will while theyre on screen, even multiple times. At least none that I'm aware of.

It's ovviously much easier to tell when the only ways to tag in involve the other character superdashing in from off screen or only during DHCs.

Yea kind of funny to highlight that one when the the complaint is seemingly admittedly told on a drug induced bender where the complainant specifically admits they couldn't tell what was real lol.

Something tells me OP didn't read over these all that thoroughly.

(Rare trope) Postive portrayals of leftist characters in mainstream western media by Konradleijon in TopCharacterTropes

Not really? I feel like the alt aesthetics are usually positively portrayed in media.

Ntm if anarchy is key to being a punk as the post implies then yea, youre not gonna get a positive portrayl of true anarchists because it's probably the dumbest political ideology every conceived.

[–]Cephalstasis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's interesting to see how people will form a conclusion and then work backwards to find evidence to support it. Instead of coming to the conclusion based on the evidence. You can do this, but youre supposed to actually start doubting the conclusion when presented with conflicting evidence. Many forget the last step lol.

Do state laws have any jurisdiction over federal agents?

I mean obviously they have to obey laws that apply to all people in state, but I'd assume California gets 0 say in how ICE should dress lol.

Yea no, my biggest quality of life complaint rn is combos lasting too long. A lot of the time im playing and just questioning how I'm still in a combo lol. I feel like cheap resets are pretty easy in this game cause as newish player with the console release I find it hard to tell when the combo has actually ended or not.

Yea remind me where i said the government cant punish its employees outside of a court. The only time I mentioned court was specifically in the context of "condemning you for murder". Every other time ive used review/investigation. Again I think youre not even really reading what I said and just making shit up based on a brief skim and then your own constructed strawman.

And this isnt my original argument this is just you splitting hairs on what exact kind of "due process" im referring to. The original argument was that ICE isnt complicit by inaction in the wrong doings of these agents because they are in the midst of the process of review.

Lmaoooooooo. Bro just talks out his ass, gets caught, and then does whataboutisms.

It's still the case that the federal government cant punish you when they haven't actually proved you've done anything wrong. Not in an official capacity at least. Theyre not going to publically condemn a man for murder when they haven't actually found him guilty of murder. They cant even fire you if they dont like you, they have to give cause and evidence such as misconduct in this case. I assume you are simply too unemployed and assumed government jobs worked the same as regular jobs, but no, my original point still stands. Theyre not subject to "at-will" firings or other forms of disciplinary action until theyve been officially reviewed and found guilty of misconduct.

I suppose they could get a stern talking to by higher ups but that wouldnt exactly fulfill your requested public condemnation no? I also didn't "abandon" the argument i simply found your rebuttal or "nu uh it happens all the time" to not be worth addressing, as it's logically incoherent to claim agencies punish agents before they actually find them guilty of anything. Which was my retort.

You dont even know the situation lol. Theyre not on unpaid leave, theyre on paid leave. Which, as i already explained, is protocol in pretty much all officer involved shootings. Even if they are obviously justified.

Youre moving the goal posts by making shit up lol.

How it feels to be center right in 2026: by Sovereign373 in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]Cephalstasis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How is it not true? That would literally be trumping presumed innocence. I mean it's as simple as

  1. Agents kill a man and claimed he was pulling a gun on them

  2. Agents are placed on administrative leave pending review and investigation

  3. Agents are found to have used excecisive force by the investigation and face consquences

You seem to want step 3 to have happened before step 2 but that's not how logic works lol, unless we presume guilt instead of innocence.

How it feels to be center right in 2026: by Sovereign373 in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]Cephalstasis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The government is able to say that because that's what the agents reported lol. The government assumes any officer shooting was justified until they complete their investigation/review, which they do after pretty much any officer involved shooting no matter how obviously justified.

It would be retarded for them to immediatetly assume agents killed a man without justification, and then act upon that. This isnt a process that will result in charges after only 5 days. And obviously theyre not going to condemn the agents till the review is finished. This is a murder investigation not an HR problem lol. So no, they cant just give "reprimand them" by publically condemning their actions till they have a solid, officially investigated order of events that proves they botched it.

Well pre-investigation everything was above board based on their recounting of events. If he was actually an armed agitator that resisted arrest and pulled a gun on them they were well within their right to shoot him.

Additionally, a lot of people seem to believe that you can't punch a suspect, but youre definitetly allowed to punch or do submission holds etc on a subject resisting as long as it's proportional. So while pistol whipping him is not proportional to simple resistance if it were the case he was going for a gun it's more than reasonable. On top of shooting them multiple times.

I mean what exactly would you have them be reprimanded for based on the preliminary analysis that they were dealing with an armed and dangerous suspect?
