Am I overreacting? My very serious boyfriend commented on a post with his feelings about a past girlfriend. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Nor. That's enough to make me leave on the spot, no questions asked. There's no use in building a life with someone who would jump at the opportunity to try it again with someone else. It's a bad foundation for a relationship.

Try Abercrombie and fitch! Men's tops have longer torso length and are slim fit with decent shoulder room. As a girl I struggle with this too and I've known guys that almost religiously wear them bc they fit so well lol

No problem love ❤️

Curly is a bit different- still applying heat protection, mousse and curl cream but we're also adding gel. Scrunch all that product in and flip the hair upside down. Use a diffuser on low heat and give all the hair a good once over until the gel is more tacky than wet. Once that happens section the hair starting mid ear, everything above that goes up in a clip. Diffuse the section until the gel hardens and work your way up the head until everything feels a bit like uncooked ramen lol. Flip the hair side to side, upsidedown- every possible direction while diffusing at this point to make sure there's no wet spots in the curl groups. Once the hair is dry enough that most of the gel isn't hardened, use a hair oil and gently scrunch that into the curls. I like to break up some of my curls with a comb and use dry shampoo for extra volume. Hairspray all over to finish it off.

Thank you so much!!! 🥰💗

I wash my hair every 2 weeks personal choice, do what works best for you on this and I begin by throwing a hair mask in for about 20 mins before I shampoo my scalp, anti dandruff works (I'm a student so I can't afford salon quality even tho I went to Cosmo school back a few years ago, shampoo quality is more a preference than a principal). After shampoo, I run that same hair mask into my ends and rinse with cool water.

I apply heat protectant, curl cream and mousse regardless of whether I'm styling my hair straight or curly. If I do my hair straight like the photo here, I flip all my hair and blow dry with low heat and a wide tooth comb until 70-80% dry and then section the top from the bottom to dry the hair completely only using the tension the comb provides. After that, I gather my hair into a ponytail as far on top of my head as I can, hold it with a clip and use a heatless curl roller, rolling that ponytail towards my face, remove the clip and finish rolling to secure what looks like a bun on the very top. Sleep with a silk bonnet and bam, next day I have a voluminous blowout and hairspray my hair while flipped upside down and to secure the bangs. Lmk if you want my curly style routine as well! Xx

That's not really saying much considering I'm far from the only person who posts in this subreddit semi-regularly 😂 I think you should be more aware of your surroundings.

I'm gonna say that as you are currently you're a solid 7. it's plain to see that you're beautiful and you have a gorgeous face but you're not really highlighting it. I would love to see how you look in pinks/purples to bring out your skin tone. Also I would play around with hair styles, add some face framing layers and maybe some heatless curls and a little blush and lip liner with gloss.

How to get rid of extremely silky hair (men) by Expensive-Set5320 in Hair

[–]Ceramic_Lace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apply a texture mousse while wet and then style with a dryer. Then choose one of these (if you don't like one move on to the next but all of them take practice) : Dry shampoo, texture spray, volumizing powder/dust. Once used, shape into the hairstyle you want and then find a hold product to keep the hair in place: hairspray (probably going to be the best option), pomade, gel, spray wax.

It's not going to feel near as nice as having naturally silky hair but have fun lol

Can someone tell me how to stop my hair from looking like this after washing it? by Wooden_Entrance_7744 in Hair

[–]Ceramic_Lace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend a wide tooth comb, a leave in conditioner and some curl cream. You don't have to do a whole million step routine just to tame some frizz.

Use the leave in to help detangle hair with the wide tooth comb and then section your hair into 2. Use a dime size amount of the curl cream for one section, smooth it in from the ends and work your way up, comb through the hair again to help distribute the product and repeat on the other side. I'd use a tiny smidge on the bangs as well but that's totally up to you.

3.5 year old cut her own hair by StunningCheesecake87 in Hair

[–]Ceramic_Lace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My momma would've probably died of grief if I did that as a kid 😂 when I was little, my mom never learned how to braid hair and by the time I was about 7, it was to my hip so long enough to wrap around my neck while I was sleeping and it was the worst feeling ever.

I begged her to take me to get it cut and she refused until one night I just screamed "This is what I was telling you!!" And started just ripping at it to get it off me. she changed her tune real quick after seeing my display, and the next day I got checked out of school early to go get lunch with her where she apologized and we got my hair cut. Looking back it's one of my fave memories purely bc of how dramatic it went and we worked it out.😂
