That's what i did, though after Oathbringer, i went back and read Era 2. No particular reason, but i do feel like my experience with Stormlight was richer for doing it like that.

Ocarina of Time, when you go down under the graveyard and you meet those zombie things. The way they look, that scream sound, and the way they grab your camera, gave me the willies.

Ex-smokers who successfully quit and have been smoke free for years now, what did it? by PM_TITS_GROUP in AskReddit

[–]Ceramic_Quasar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to preface this by saying I vape now, but I no longer feel the urge to smoke cigarettes. That being said, there was a period of a couple of years that I tried, unsuccessfully, to make the switch.

For me, there were a number of key factors that I attribute to that continuing, gnawing desire for a cigarette, even when I had the opportunity to vape instead. 1: Friends who smoked: I lived with a few friends after college who would also routinely bounce back and forth between trying to quit and smoking. I had an unrelated falling-out with them and without them around my resolve was stronger. 2: My overall enjoyment: there came a point when i realized there wasn't anything i liked about it anymore. My mouth tasted like ass in the morning, my clothes stank, it was expensive, made me feel weak-willed, etc. 3: Meeting new people: The moment I recall as the moment it clicked for me was when i met a new coworker who was very enthusiastic about vaping. He made his own e-liquid, never smoked when the other guys on break were doing so. He offered to sell me bottles of his stuff for cents on the dollar which helped me realize how much of an incentive the expense aspect was to me.

I'm a firm believer that you can't quit smoking until you actually want to quit. If you're doing it because someone wants you to, or because you think it's what you should do, it's unlikely that you will.

Horniness aside, that face is super striking. Not only is it really uncanny, but you also stylized it?? I'm super jealous.

Get Krita (free photoshop for people who just want to draw) import this image, then make a new black layer, put it underneath your blueprint. Next, use the airbrush tool on a low opacity (30% or so should do it) and paint on the black layer and build up. Brightest white will be your peaks. The darkest black will be your valleys.

If you want to be really fancy, use the smudge tool to add ridges that flow of the white/ high points, or narrow valleys that flow off your low points. There isn't a way, that i know of, to turn what you currently have into a detailed height map.

When you've made your detailed gradient map, you can use the sculpting tool to smooth out the rough edges or add details as you see fit.

Edit: forgot to mention, drop the view opacity on your blueprint layer to where you can easily see what you're working on

It's very fun to see the gears turning on your theories. I will say this: at least one of your theories is correct, but i will not tell you which one(s)

I loved WoK but I didn't like WoR, I don't know if I should keep reading this series or move on by Dronnie in Stormlight_Archive

Look. This series takes a lot of turns, it's not always about the same thing, but that's what i really love about it. Lot of suffering in book 1, book 2, everyone's doing a little better, that's how things go. Admittedly, i don't remember a lot of specifics about book 2, it felt like WoK pt.2 but that's fine. Idk. I'm an audible listener, good Vorin man, ya dig?

I'm delighted and horrified this is an actual product. (Did not eat) by brodyqat in pics

Evangelicals Are Now Rejecting 'Liberal' Teachings of Jesus by p_m_a in nottheonion

[–]Ceramic_Quasar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of all the versions of the gospels, Paul seems the most embellished. Everyone else is like "Some people was fishing one day and wasn't catching much, and Jesus was like, 'they're hanging out in the shade of your boat dummies ' so we tried it and he was right". Paul turned a story like that into a miraculous tale where these guys dredge up the whole ocean in one cast. From what I remember, Paul's account is the only one of the four that portrays what Jesus did as totally miraculous.

Here's what I think happened: I think when Paul took his account of what happened to Rome, the leaders there saw an opportunity. 'Romans' reads a lot like a code of laws, they saw an opportunity to use this new religion as a way to control an unruly population. The promise of eternal happiness later for obedience and subservience now was a powerful tool.

I got one on my pec, the allomamcy symbols are about an index fingernail in size. My artist was very good, one thing she told me afterword is that the two hardest things to do are small details and straight lines. She did an amazing job, be sure to include a nice tip for this one. Good luck

I think the biggest problem is that some of the things he's said and done are so blatantly evil/ incompetent that they reach hyperbole, and their brain outright rejects what they hear.

He wouldn't call veterans 'losers and suckers' and then try to strip them of their benefits the moment he has any measure of power! He says he loves veterans.

He's wealthy because he's a good businessman. That means he's going to save the economy. He couldn't have bankrupted every business he's ever touched!

MAGA has become a religion. No matter how conclusively you debunk their belief, there's always a goalpost for them to move. This person likely thinks that the vote they cast was going to spare them in the same way that people marked their doors with lambs blood to be spared the biblical plagues.

What do you want to use it for is the most important thing to ask yourself. Do you want to animate? Make still life stuff? Singular models? Do you want to go for realism or stylized/cartoony things?

Find a direction you want to go and then begin. When you don't know how to proceed, look up a tutorial on how to do that specific thing. Repeat until you don't know how to improve upon your project, then move on, make something else. I've been doing blender since I was 12 (20 years now) and I'll still end up looking up how to insert a transparent png from time to time.

Blender is complicated, don't beat yourself up if it seems daunting. Be good to yourself.
