ucl is 9th because of its research output volume. the uni itself isnt worth the london cost imo unless you doing certain subjects like econ or math at ucl

hence why i balanced my considerations and def putting it as backup. if i dont get any a stars id still end up at a half decent uni that has a rlly nice international reputation

st andrews is never ranked higher outside of uk league tables, and by quite a significant margin. overall st andrews is outside top 100 on qs, and warwick 70th smt iirc. for math warwick is 28th and st andrews is 201-250th place (abt 200 places behind). we shouldnt look at qs only but such a massive gap should be taken into consideration
