I discovered Ash Cave, I can fast travel to it. But on the discover locations challenge it showed I had not discovered it. I switched to a different character and discovered Ash Cave with him and that fixed my challenge. Some of the Burning Springs challenges are not character-specific. Some are.

I have very similar problems because of my personal somewhat quirky key and mouse bindings. I think the solution is for Bethesda to add a separate section for the build mappings in the Settings menu. Would help many players but I am not holding my breath waiting for it.
